It looks like an adult: a tall body playing metal arches, silver mirrors, unpainted bumper overlays, a severe radiator grille, unusual rear lights, and the most visually pleasant chrome line that repeats the roof profile. On the embodiment of fantasies of French designers, they clearly decided not to save.
It is similar simultaneously to the large Mazda CX-7 crossover and the stylish city hatchback 308. Actually, the 308th is used as the base: the French decided that there is not the main thing to play on the field of compact crossovers and off-road abilities, despite the double zero In the title. It looks fairly brutal. Well, they are not far from marketing truth.
Under the hood of a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with a turbocharged capacity of 156 hp. Paired with a six -speed automatic transmission. The trunk 3008 has 432 liters of problems with suitcases, even if there is a spare wheel on the lower floor and three bottles of non -freezing. Yes, it would not have been Peugeot if there were no features: a two -level trunk and a folding side that is able to withstand up to 200 kg. In 3008, almost the entire roof is transparent perfect for tourist adventures, it is possible to contemplate the sights in full at any point of the interior.
Of course, transparency can be blocked by a retractable internal partition with an electric drive, which can be stopped anywhere, leaving the hatch above the front seats or make the roof completely impenetrable.
In the front seats, the central console shines with a wonderful comfort and orange warmth, highly raised and separating the driver and passenger, as in a sports compartment, and gleams with chrome, the music shimmers with pure sounds. Between the seats are deep cup holders, huge pockets in the doors. The plastic is hard, but pleasant and beautiful. Only a serious ergonomic miscalculation of the heating wheel of the front seats is located outside the visibility zone, it is not highlighted, and its desired position can be determined only by guessing the temperature of the chair with your own body.
The work of the suspension for the trip was evaluated on different types of roads and in different weather conditions. First, the average in quality highway of the Smolensk region, generously flooded with slippery melted snow. Yes, here all -wheel drive would not hurt the front -wheel drive car swims in this porridge, scattering it with non -navigated tires. However, stability at the level, and the stabilization system quickly picks up a dangerous maneuver and significantly rigidly holds the car. For such weather, a more smooth transmission mode is provided, which is connected by a button next to the checkpoint lever.
Beautiful Belarusian autobahns took advantage of Peugeot to demonstrate their dynamic characteristics, excellent handling and comfortable suspension. Of course, in comparison with the hatchback, the new crossover responds to the gas pedal more reluctantly, accompanying this with a dissatisfied roar. The agility of the joint development with BMW holds back the box, I think a tandem with the mechanics is happier. The sports regime of the box allows the reactions a little more acute. You can indulge in turns predictable to the steering wheel and the absence of rolls turn the car drive into a comfortable controlled pleasure. It feels like a passenger car more like a crossover with a high body. Thanks to the Dynamic Rolling Control, the extinguishing roll (option): in the turns, the shock absorbers are clamped, become tougher, and the car is going smoothly.
On a grater of Ukrainian roads, a hard Peugeot shakes mercilessly. Smoothing conflicts is clearly not his horse. With a similar rejection, he reacted to the paving stones in the center of Kyiv. With a good general sound insulation, the arch and tires are too noisy.
But efficiency pleased: the average consumption was 8.7 liters per 100 km.
