Test drive Nissan Skyline compartment 2002 - 2007 sedan

There, beyond the horizon

Skyline is a rare example of a successful compromise. The car has excellent controllability at high speeds, excellent dynamics, but all this is not to the detriment of comfort.

Nissan has been producing cars with a sports character and romantic name Skyline (horizon) since 1957. A long pedigree confirms the outstanding qualities of the model, which has become both a favorite object of professional tuning and a kind of national pride, since until 2003 it was produced only with the right wheel and was not exported anywhere.
The car is distinguished by conservatism - a powerful motor, often the rear or all -wheel drive, the body is a sedan or a two -door compartment. A distinctive feature of all generations, with the exception of the latter, was the rapid features of an angular body and double round lanterns on a flat stern. But for two years now, Skyline has been sold not only in Japan, but also in America under the boring name Infiniti G35 - with a left -hand drive and a 3.5 -liter engine that does not occur on the Japanese version.
Japanese Skyline has been produced in the current form since 2001. Interior decoration emphasizes that this machine is for an ambitious driver with a thick wallet. One upholstery of the seats is worth it: the wear -resistant artificial suede looks richer than many leather salons. In a chair, comfortable even a large driver, you sit like a glove. In the basic version - three-mode (ordinary, sports, winter) automatic transmission, ABS, two airbags, electric package, climatic installation, an audio center with a built-in CD changer.
Skyline is a rare example of a successful compromise. The car has excellent controllability at high speeds, excellent dynamics, but all this is not to the detriment of comfort. On leisurely trips around the city - an ordinary large and convenient business class. But it is worth going to the highway, switch to a sports mode and press a little cut on an accelerator - the spirit of speed wakes up under the hood. The car becomes a powerful classic that will enjoy the driver.
In Russia, Skyline uses Platonic love rather - it is known, but it is rare at car markets. The reason is understandable - the car is expensive, it is not bought to save on the right steering wheel, but, as they say, out of love for art.
