Judging the entire line of Korean Chevrolet by the baby Aveo, the picture looms quite rainbow. The product is interesting, perfectly adapted to the specifics of the local market and very competitive. However, one Aveo is not limited to: there is Lacetti, the car is larger, on the way a very miniature Spark.And the Evanda D-Class sedan is hooked on the throne. Here we will try it today. So that the picture that looms was more objective.
True, we have already tested this car, only under a different name Daewoo Magnus (wheels, December, 2001). Magnus, who replaced the Leganza model, was remembered by two unusuals: located across the body in a row six and a CD resigner that supports the MP3 format. Evanda will be easier. There are four cylinders under the hood, and on -board music is original only by the fact that Cehinger on five discs is integrated into the central console. It sounds faded.
The price remained at the same level. Two and a half years ago, Magnus in the four -cylinder version cost about $ 23,000, today Evanda in a similar configuration will cost $ 23,700. Why then Chevrolet seems so seductive today? Just competitors during this period managed to rise significantly.
We will continue the tour of attractions. The dashboard about three wells looks, there are no words, spectacular, but the Koreans distinguished themselves only because they shamelessly ripped it off from the previous chord. Evanda has an anti -boom system, but only the benefits of it are slightly: on dry asphalt, a modest motor with a machine gun is hardly able to call a slip, and on a slippery road the system can brake only one wheel. Against the simultaneous slipping of both drive wheels, it is helpless. Disconnect, do not turn off, almost nothing changes.
As for the quality, it is difficult to make claims to the assembly. In any case, the salon is made very carefully. Materials, of course, are not super hard plastic diluted with inserts that rudely imitating wood. And velor finish will be advised to avoid at all: it quickly sinks and gets dirty, which is why the salon takes a careless look. It is better to order the skin. At the same time, you will receive the seats.
At the same time, Evande’s practicality cannot be refused. The front is spacious, and at the back of the place with more than. In other words, the car is really designed to transport four adults, and not by the microdistrict, but to decent distances. The trunk (opens from the cabin or button on the key) also indulges in capacity. A couple more pluses in the Evanda asset.
Evanda rides without a light. It seems to start confidently, but already at the average revolutions of traction capabilities the motor ceases to grab, and a dumb machine interferes with the top to shoot at the top. The box here is ZF-Ovsky, but the old model, and even with stretched gears. She knows how to adapt to the driving style, but for this five to seven minutes you need to drive from the heart, having kept the gas pedal in the floor as long as possible. And the first cork will transfer it back. But the brakes are good: sensitive, powerful and understandable.
Korean stroke is one hundred percent. The road grouse is easily extinguished, but on significant flaws of the coating the car shakes the car, and the suspension accompanies this process with dull sounds. Manageability deservedly stands at the end of the list of running qualities of Evanda.
Nothing worthy of attention. Yes, the car is easily included in the turns, with an acceptable level of insufficient rotation, however, slurred feedback and weak reactive force on the steering wheel do not make it possible to clearly understand what is happening with the wheels. There is controllability in the American manner: they say, we can do without your sports, the main thing is that nothing strains. Noticeable rolls from the same opera. But on the highway, the car should catch up in the city.
It turns out that Evanda repeats Magnus in almost everything. And after a close acquaintance, she still seduces the price-quality ratio. As in the case of Aveo, the main opponent of Evanda wears the Hyundai brand. As in the case of Aveo, the main trump card of Evanda in this confrontation is the golden cross of the Chevrolet, which has not yet lost its charming attractiveness.
