This is the charm! Yesterday, in the labyrinths of traffic jams, I now and then came across a full contempt and frank unwillingness to let me rebuild into a neighboring row. And today everyone seemed to decide to hit me with their politeness. It is worth turning on the turn signal, and immediately slowed down, go through, they say, dear comrade. Need to wrap left, crossing the oncoming lane? And in this case, drivers show nobility, slow down and helpfully give way. It would always be so.
 

I guess that this is all because of her. Because of a large car named Evand. It was she who turned yesterday's rude, friendly people. And this is quite logical, because Chevrolet Evang, and this is how the full name of this young lady sounds, today takes the most responsible post among the cars of the American brand officially sold in Russia. In short, she is the flagship of the lineup of cars, which in itself deserves respect.
 

But the path upstairs was not easy. It was born in 2002 not in America, but in Korea, and then she was then Dau-Magnus. In the same year, an event took place, which fundamentally changed the future fate of the car, Corporation General Motors became the owner of Daewoo Car. But it took another two years to make our heroine be in Russia, and the bars of her radiator decorated the Emblem of the Chevrolet.

 
It seems a little strange that it is Evanda, with its Korean roots, and not a purebred American impetus, for example, performs the duties of the head of the Chevrolet Passenger Family. But the ji-em knows better who and where to assign the main thing, and the price plays a very important role. Agree, when you find out about a mid-class car for $ 21,000, you somehow immediately forget about the purity of the breed.
 



We will not argue
I repeatedly had to listen to judgments that the design of modern cars leaves much to be desired. This old song is about how the equally averaged forms of four -wheeled remnants do not like. Cars de became too catchy, and the sense of style is irretrievably lost. Previously, it was a completely different matter that the cars were striking in the purity of the lines and the correct outlines.
 

I don't want to argue. Moreover, before, indeed, there were beautiful cars. Just as they are today. But I suggest a skeptical car aesthetes to look at Evang. It seems to me that they should like it.
 

This solid, almost five-meter machine elusively resembles the cars of the 80-year-olds of the 90s. In profile, she looks like a noble Japanese cruiser Mitsubishi-Sigma 1990. The body design is so simple and calm that it can be safely called minimalist, where the purity of forms actually prevails. The only thing, perhaps, was somewhat widened with optics, it looks too modern. The front headlights of Evangs resemble roughly hewn ice blocks, and the rear lights, closed with darkened glass, as if bought in the tuning department. But even with them this chevrolet looks quite serene.
 

However, you should not be surprised at a somewhat unexpected for the Korean car of stylistic solutions. After all, Deau has been working with Italian craftsmen from the famous Italdeperazin studio for ten years. Maestro Dzhujaro and his employees created Lanos, Matiz, Lacetti. True, they painted Evanda five years ago, so it is quite logical to feel some notes of the past in the guise of this sedan.
 

But we will leave a discussion of design to lovers of abstract disputes, and we ourselves turn to things for the car more significant than the appearance.

What a nice smell! So only real skin smells. Here she is really real, light-beige, creaky, with a look caressing with folds. And the front seats are so massive, with thick backs, look very thorough. Having settled in an armchair, I don’t want to start a motor and go somewhere at all, I would have sat for hours and reflect on the mortality of being. Big car for a big city
To say frankly, I do not like automatic boxes. This mechanism often prevents me from communicating with the car. But Evanda and the machine, in my opinion, are simply created for each other. They are both from the category of those who are in no hurry. Everything that is required of the driver smoothly press the gas pedal. Notice, smoothly. And then, in a 4-speed gearbox, the transmission will be changed very delicately, without the slightest twitch and shocks. In traffic jams on such a car, perhaps a pleasure, a 2-liter engine almost does not strain, music plays quietly in the cabin as if you are sailing along a quiet river on a large boat. The suspension, however, is somewhat harsh, but not enough to create discomfort.
 

Having left Moscow, I once again became convinced that Evanda is exclusively a city resident, and walking along the highway at a fast pace is not at all for her. If you still smoothly press gas and do not accelerate over 110 km/h, then everything is fine. But it is worth going faster, like the noise of the engine and running air begins to noticeably annoy. And with a frankly uninformative steering wheel, it does not cause any pleasure to pass turns, and Evanda is decently rolled up. And, God forbid, press you on the gas to the end. I have not heard such a frightening and frantic moor of the motor for a long time. And well, the car would have accelerate faster, nothing like that. She, as she gained speed slowly, so at the same pace and continues to do it. Just a 131-horsepower motor, alas, can not disperse the car faster. And Evanda has no other engine. True, there is a mechanical gearbox with which the car will go a little faster, but certainly there will be no quieter in the cabin. And there are good brakes. But this is not otherwise because the car does not like speed.
 

Well, of course! Exactly so: Evanda does everything possible to return to a state of peace, and she, without embarrassment, expresses her dissatisfaction with the one who tries to withdraw her out of this state. Those who love a calm, leisurely riding, she complains, but the guys who want to burner cannot tolerate the spirit.
 

I have a strange impression of this car. A solid and large on the outside, it is close inside. So pleasant and comfortable in the city, on the highway it takes out with a noise, a melancholy motor and very mediocre manageability.
 

Most likely, I just demand a lot from Evanda. Moreover, it costs cheaper than many golf class cars and fully fulfills its money to the last cent. What else to wish for? Wait, I have one desire: I’ll go back to the city, I will be happy again for polite drivers, and Evande will definitely like this idea.
