Subaru Impreza XV. Grain without chaff

Subaru Impreza XV. Price: from 999900 rub. On sale: since 2010

Trying to take root in the popular segment of compact crossovers, specialists of the Japanese Subaru did not invent a bicycle. As a donor, they used the serial hatchback Subaru Impreza

Most likely, making such a decision, the Japanese were guided exclusively by the voice of reason. Why suffer by building a new car, if you can use the existing one? Logical? Yes. But why do competitors on their passenger platforms most often create absolutely original body structures? It is likely to separate the representatives of the now popular class now, so that the proud name of the crossover sounds louder. One way or another, but the Subarovites did not become a garden. On the chassis, modernized under a country ride, they slapped a slightly rethinking body of the Subaru Impreza hatchback. Cosmetics, the key elements of which were luggage rails, a voluminous rear spoiler and elaborate pads of wheeled arches, added a banal look of a fraction of off -roadness. And the clearance, increased to 185 mm, increased the effect.

The evolution of the interior of the new crossover was reduced to the strengthening of the motive for sports. According to the creators of Subaru Impreza XV (where, by the way, X is Cross, and V Vehicle,
and not the Roman fifteen), this is facilitated by the brown color of the fabric finish. Hmm, a strange perception of the world. To a much greater extent, the physical education effect is created by front chairs with developed lateral support and integrated head restraints. However, due to the poverty of adjustments by the hospitality, the seats do not differ. The on -board equipment package, in principle, is full. But here and here, signs of savings are manifested. Say, a route computer with a minimum number of functions, the climate is not separate, and the front panel plastic is hard. The salon negativity can also be attributed to a blindfold instrument shield and a real -shaped trunk. The rest is normal.

No matter how ordinary the car still seemed, from the first meters of the journey, the attitude towards it begins to change. A two-liter 150-horsepower opponent is very cheerful of the one and a half-ton Impreza. And not only from the mountain, but also to the mountain. And not only with 5 -speed mechanics, but also with a 4 -speed automatic. And it does not suffer from gluttony: eight with a penny of liters per hundred. By the way, after a recent modernization, the engine became even easier and even more flexible when starting.

Impreza XV brakes are moderately gripped, understandable. And the steering is made in the mind. And the suspension deserves a pair of affectionate separately. Having become significantly higher and heavier, the hatchback needed a thorough audit of the chassis. The engineers significantly tightened the springs (front ones by 32%, the rear by 16%) and the sleeve of the rear subframe, increased the thickness of the reptile stability stabilizers, and increased the damping properties of shock absorbers. As a result, it was possible to find a compromise in the middle of the middle. In other words, the suspension, showing gutta -perchery on the irregularities (which allows us to talk about comfort), does not allow the machine to go excessively in the bends.

On the asphalt, the Subarovsk crossover behaves in a lightweight, flexibly and confidently writing out the required trajectory. And outside the road, the car surprises the ability to work small miracles. Impreza XV confidently overcomes steep slopes and force mud areas. At the version with an automatic transmission, the transmission of torque to the rear wheels is carried out through a friction coupling with electron-hydraulic control. The machine with mechanics uses an integent differential of increased friction with a viscous coupling. The arsenal of this modification is supplemented with a lowering gear and an anti -leaving system (facilitating the start to the mountain).

In the process of driving Subaru XV, the original impression gradually changes. The grains are separated from the chaff. And the thought comes to mind: but the car is nothing worth it! And then the question of money arises on the agenda. The price per million. I wonder how many millionaires will exchange their blood to Subaru Impreza XV?

We do not love
Two ranges of heating the front seats allow you to adjust the degree of heating, which increases comfort. Nicely

Automatic transmission works quickly and clearly. Switching occur imperceptibly. Adequately

Driving
Driving a car causes positive emotions. Particularly well trajectory grip is felt on gravel roads.

Salon
The car has a rather spacious residential area, which cannot be said about the luggage compartment.

Comfort
At an acceptable level. Although individual points (for example, not very convenient front seats) lubricate the impression.

Security
Meets the standards of modern automotive industry.

Price
Somewhat overstated, which can serve the poor service in the competition.

Advantages and disadvantages
+ Excellent handling, good patency, omnivorous suspension.
- Small trunk, high price.

Our opinion
The originality of the car, excellent handling, acceptable cross -country ability, decent interior and satisfactory equipment make Impreza XV attractive to fans of an active lifestyle in general and for Subaru fans in particular. The negative factor is overpriced.
