Subaru Impreza XV: not just impreza ...

On Sunday, September 26, Kolesa.ru appreciated Subaru Impreza XV a new crossover based on a well -known compact model. Our interest in this car was also warmed up by the fact that we would no longer see the usual, asphalt Impreza in car dealerships

Subaru came to the conclusion that all -wheel drive cars for the city, although they are distinguished by unique driver’s qualities, but they can not always be appreciated (for the most part, in winter), and not everyone can. But an increased appetite for the fuel growing in price cannot be noticed much more difficult. Moreover, it is justified on the off -road, but in the city when you control a compact car. So they do not sell more modest impreza 1.5, but only powerful WRX and insanely powerful WRX STI. But they, judging by rumors, will soon be removed from Russian sales.

So, XV. The new compact crossover has only 4 430 mm in length, 1,770 in width and 1,570 mm in height. The clearance of the new Impreza is quite off -road 185 mm. As for the off-road attributes, XV retained the proprietary Subaru system symmetric all-wheel drive, though in two versions. Which of them is in the car depends on the selected gearbox. Together with a 4-speed automatic, a full-wheel drive system with electronic control distribution of torque is supplied. And paired with 5-speed mechanics, a self-locking differential based on viscousyft is going on. This option is more suitable for an active driving style and more difficult driving conditions.

The power unit is well signed by Subaruvodes by a two -liter gasoline engine with a capacity of 150 hp. In principle, it was enough for a trouble -free movement to Forester, and Impreza XV with his participation can even satisfy the emergency calls.

To control the Subaru car, a concept of dynamic control of the chassis was developed. It is characterized by an engine, installed even lower than on asphalt impecues, a body of high rigidity, and also that all the components of the chassis are made more durable. In addition, the rear independent suspension is designed on double A-shaped levers with a long stroke.

It is worth noting the patency of Impreza XV. Full -wheel drive, a high clearance, a sufficiently powerful motor easily elevate an hour -ton body over obstacles. It will be interesting to check the new XV in the swamps more serious, although Subaru themselves do not consider the model behind the SUV

Styt Impreza XV is not compact: the most affordable car will cost 999,990 rubles, and in the same configuration, but with an automatic machine 30,000 more expensive. However, the starting equipment of 1J is not poor at all. It includes climate control, CD magnet, electric windows, front and side pillows and safety curtains, fog lights, cast discs and a winter bag (heating of mirrors, seats and wiper zones). In the following equipment options, not so important, but rather comfortable and additional options such as cruise control, leather decoration, a more advanced radio, xenon and hatch in the roof are added, so it can be assumed that the most popular version of 1J will be the most popular.

However, as the representatives of the RRT company, the only Subaru dealer center in the city, will be difficult to order the most basic option due to great demand for it. Other configurations can be purchased much faster.

The biggest problem by Subaru Impreza XV competitors. The former compact entered the market, which has long been divided between Volkswagen Tiguan, Nissan X-Trail and Qashqai, Toyota Rav4, Ford Kuga and their persistent Korean rivals. Subaru is not worth hoping for an explosion of consumer interest, however, the loyalty of customers to the brand still keeps it afloat.
