But last year its sales fell by 7.5 % (7024 pcs.). The fourth generation is intended to break an unpleasant trend. No restyling, in front of me is a completely new car. Technical filling has been seriously redesigned, all body panels, external lighting equipment and interior have been changed. In the latter, the old ones left only the buttons of the central lock, the windows, and a few more small details and in vain. Ah, trifles. How they became important to us, how much attention they require. Unfortunately, his deficiency was the main problem of the interior of all modern Subaru, including Forester. The windows of the windows like a rudiment from the early 90s are made of rough plastic and have large moves, and the car driver is only on the driver's doors. The same situation with the toothbler of the central castle, while the sound of its opening/closing almost a platoon of the pistol shutter, and in the dark, only one of two drawn locks is illuminated. Mini-display controls on the dashboard are sold through a long pin sticking out of it. It’s good that it needs to be pressed, not rotated, waiting for a zero mark, just in the Soviet classic. The reference to it goes from the doors that cannot be opened from the inside without throwing the toggle switch open/closed. Finally, electronic control of turning indicators appeared, when a single touch follows a triple operation of the relay. But that's all! There are no more complaints about the new Forester. The car became 3.5 cm longer, and 1.5 wider. Addition to the base 2.5 cm. On a convenient driver's seat, a place with a senses, the ranges of all adjustments are large. The main plastic is soft, the assembly is very high quality, not a single cricket on irregularities was noticed. Review: according to the statements of engineers, landing is now higher by 36 mm. A two-liter 150-horsepower atmospheric (the basic version in our market) of the FB series was also put on a forester in the previous generation, but now it works in pairs with new transmission: either 6-speed mechanics (at the base of the old five-stroke), or a branded cuneiform variator of LineArtronic (instead archaic 4-speed machine). It is a pity that there will no longer be a lowering transmission by car with a manual transmission, perhaps that is why a special off-road mode of X-Mode has appeared (see insert). The combination of the variator and 150 stallions did not impress dynamic: calmly and quite self -sufficient. Although for our very specific rhythm of movement, version 2.5 (about 175 hp), which will not be in Europe and, accordingly, was not at the presentation, is more suitable. The chassis of the new Forester turned out to be very balanced. The suspension is not afraid of anything: large pits, medium irregularities, sharp joints all disappears in the bowels of new silent blocks, other springs and shock absorbers, and there is no hint to build up in cruising modes. In a sense, this is also our merit, because before designing, Subaru engineers recorded a very unhealthy cardiogram of roads of the Samara region. The power steering is now working in the steering, and the circuit here is interesting: the electric motor is installed next to the rail, however, the force transfers through the worm transmission to the gear. The car is so confident in the straight line and in turns, as if it is hinting at an even more powerful version similar to the current Forester TS with a capacity of 263 liters. with. Whether this will appear in the new generation so far in question. We tend to put up with the little things, no matter how moody they may be, therefore, in my opinion, the image of the new Subaru Forester turned out to be collected, and he has every chance in order to strengthen his position in the Russian market. The forester will get to us in June, after which they plan to sell about 700 cars per month in Subaru.
