Agree, it will be terribly insulting if the queen of temperament suddenly defeats such an outstanding machine as, say, Subaru Forester. The forester is generally a great luck to the Japanese company. And in Budapest, on the shore of the Danube, slightly spreading from the January snowfall, I had to get acquainted with the updated version of the Subaru crossover. I will say right away: in order to identify a novelty in the car of the 2011 model year, you need to have scent, like a dog, and an eye, like an eagle. Otherwise, a modified radiator grill, a new wheel disc design and a couple of additional shades in the palette of the body painting can not be noticed. Not everyone was lucky to be born pinkertons.
The upgrade of the salon is equally insignificant. Yes, the new dashboard looks much prettier than the previous, but two -zone climatic and a 2Din radio, on the display of which the picture from the rear view camera is displayed, they have not passed the rank of miracle for a long time.

Engineers of the Japanese company call their brainchild an environmentally friendly engine and will never be crafty. That is, no ultra -musical direct injection systems or hybrid technologies. I liked the work of the automatic transmission. The transmission on Subaru, I must admit, is not the first freshness, nevertheless, a 4 -band automaton is successfully configured and goes well with a new engine. It is easy to control the acceleration, a fairly rigid hydrotransformer is not confused in the programs, and if necessary, sharp acceleration does not waste time on thought, instantly jumping on the program or two down. Subjective sensations confirm the numbers: acceleration to a hundred at Forester with the FB20 engine decreased to 10.7 and 12.4 seconds, respectively, with a manual transmission and automatic.
Nice dynamics as a sweet cherry on the cake of other sled talents of the car. Thanks to the easy revision of the Forester suspension, it began to keep the road even better, and the magnificent geometric cross -country ability and the presence of a lowering gear (though only on versions with mechanics) guarantee that this Subaru does not save outside the solid coating.

Our opinion
Thanks to the new FB series motor, the new Forester convincingly proved that the environmental friendliness and efficiency with a competent engineering approach is not a hindrance to good dynamics. The real crossover of the new decade should be just so convenient, all -weather, temperamental and a little green. Subaru Forester would still be lower, and there would be no price to this crossover!
