The second apparatus is extremely utilitated, but you can’t spend us: one of the most glamorous pieces in the 4x4 class - Honda Pilot is masked under the potato harvesting combine. Not like a blonde? The close relationship of Korean development with the products of the Stuttgart company is already a recommendation in itself. And there is also a set. By choosing a car in a Luxury, you get a solid leather interior and a steering wheel with a mass of buttons, an automatic transmission with the possibility of gear shifts, ABS and ESP, side pillows in addition to the frontal ones.
Looking at Pilot, you don’t believe your eyes - what is it Honda?! Over the past few years, this company has issued a couple of stunning design machines - just recall the futuristic civic or elegant accord. And here is a armored personnel carrier. It is a pity that the American design bureau Honda did not find anything better for inspiration than Hummer. Mentally replace the chrome of the chrome of the Honda radiator with the vertical fangs of the Giemovsky sledgehammer, and you will imagine how H4 could look. On the other hand, menacing cars in the style of the militarians do not go out of fashion either there or here, so Pilot will probably have a lot of fans.
If you are confused by the design, it is still not a reason to postpone your acquaintance with it. It has something unique in it. The supporting body is half made of high -strength steel. The salon seems just huge. From the underground of the luggage compartment, quite comfortable chairs for three passengers (total eight people!) Are getting. The machine lever is carried on a dashboard, closer to the driver. There is no familiar hump of the tunnel in the middle of the cabin. The illumination of the dashboard and the design of the central console look fresh. In the mirror, the rear view camera displays is built in the mirror. Rexton II is noisy when it depicts intensive acceleration by all means, and slightly smears the trajectory in a steep turn. That's all, perhaps, claims that you can make for him for running qualities. Forget about the ambition of the racer. The Mercedes Motor is not yet a reason to compete with crossovers in the city or on the highway. High landing, good visibility, soft seats and not too empty steering wheel - this is already enough to enjoy the calm drive. The suspension is not clamped, but at the same time does not allow excessive rolls. The brakes for a two-ton machine are very effective, although it is better to keep the distance before the cars.
A more powerful Pilot left mixed feelings. Acceleration is fast and moderately smooth. It slows down perfectly - better than the Korean. He refuels into turns without delay, prescribes a clarity more clearly-it can even be set as an example by some medium-sized cars. But this dexterity somehow does not fit with a typical jeep setting of steering-the steering wheel has to turn on large corners. And the suspension of Pilot is shed in a peculiar way. With sharp maneuvers, the car can be pretty lifted or lowered, but on the bedridden police, who you go through other jeeps without noticing, responds with unpleasant hard shaking.
A friend recently told how shamefully stuck on his Disco in the forest: estimate! I would have drove this puddle, but then I was distracted on a plate that someone hung on a tree, and stood up. In geometric cross -country ability, Rexton II looks preferable, and the rollers are more similar to all -terrain vehicles. However, the true off -road qualities of this machine depend on the type 4x4. On models with a handle, a traditional connected all-wheel drive is put, on the middle peasants-a parquet system with automatic handling to the axle axis, and only on the eldest-Full-Time all-wheel drive. Although this does not save you from the need to always carry a strong cable. Lowering row and forced locks are absent. The accuracy of fitting details, light illumination, ergonomics, the selection of materials in texture and color leaves no doubt that we have a cool Japanese product, and not that it was hastily done for the sake of an all -consuming American consumer. True, the very layout of buttons of different sizes did not cause enthusiasm - those that stand under the audio system at the central console are knocked into one shapeless pile. There are a lot of niches, shelves and drawers in the salon for all sorts of small things, although for people who forget what they put where they are more likely. Comfortable steering wheel, pedals are normally delivered, a huge armrest with a voluminous box is not it interferes with the drive. Adjusting the steering column and driver's seat allow you to configure the landing as if you are sitting in a passenger car. Addiction requires only the back of the machine gun - you do not always get to the touch from the parking mode to the drive or reverse.
 
Rexton II looks neat, non -other and made of high -quality materials, which, I admit, was pleasantly surprised. The steering wheel is solid, with a successful cross -section and normal diameter. It is more difficult to get to the driver's driver's place - it is highly located, as expected in an SUV. For the commanding of the developers, it is worthwhile to thank, but they still allowed a small miscalculation. High landing in theory provides better visibility. Rexton II really has this order if you look forward or to the sides. However, the highly located mirrors also should have been made larger so that not only the horizon, but also the region below came into view. You have to tune in for a compromise - or in the mirrors you are almost not visible to the sky, or the feed of the car is not visible at all. The full -time radio, which is so original designed on the central console in the form of a circle, also disappointed with its advanced. Judging by the number of modes, there should be a cool sound processor, but in reality there is not even a normal timbreblock - it was not possible to achieve a decent sound. The dashboard looks good, but looking for a route computer there is useless - it is not.
