Skoda updates the model range
The diesel in Russia is still by and large remains the destiny of commercial transport. Of course, it is also found on passenger cars, but mainly in an off -road segment. The reason for the low popularity of diesel in our country is well known for the unimportant quality of diesel fuel. That is why many brands do not even supply us with diesel modifications of their models.

Although the situation is slowly changing, and now Skoda takes three of its older models with a diesel power unit to the Russian market.

Superb, Yeti and Octavia with the same 2-liter engine with a capacity of 140 horses are on sale. At the same time, all machines are equipped exclusively with a 6-speed DSG box.

A test drive of new products, the manufacturer decided to conduct in Sudes in the north of the Czech Republic. And I was not mistaken. On the eve of the tests, the republic was literally overwhelmed with snow, and the pokatushki for the valided serpentines of the Krkonoshas (maximum height of 1600 meters) were the best imitated the combat conditions of the operation of vehicles in forever unexplored Russia.

Of course, Yeti was of particular interest, because compact crossovers are in high and sustainable demand with us, and competition in this segment is quite high. And here a snowy man wins at least a price tag (1,119,000 rubles), giving a head of the closest competitor to the one -platform VW Tiguan more than 100,000 rubles. In addition, DSG in combination with all -wheel drive until recently was not proposed.
   

In the coming year, the Skoda brand line will complement the diesel modifications of Superb, Yeti and Octavia models with a 6-speed DSG box.

Good diesel yeti with DSG and on the go. Moreover, what is on poorly rolled snow, on the cracked porridge, on a clean high -speed highway. You do not expect stunning accelerations from this machine by definition (up to 100 km/h in 10.2 seconds), but confident overtaking and the necessary acceleration are guaranteed at almost any speed.
   

Unfortunately, the Superb diesel in the back of the station wagon is not delivered to Russia. But he could interest not only corporate clients, but also lovers of long -range family vacation on wheels.

In addition, the motor is practically not heard. A cork neighbor is unlikely to understand that a diesel modification is tormented next to him in Poser. And with accelerations in the cabin, silence. And if we talk about the market prospects of the model, today, perhaps, this is the best offer.

As, probably, Superb with a similar motor (1,124,000 rubles). For the lower segment of the business class, a more preferred option, taking into account the unprecedented expanse on the back sofa and high economy (7.5 l per 100 km in the city cycle), cannot be found (add here and a sophisticated fifth door, which, if desired, can make the owner out of the machine either a hatchback, then a sedan).

And here, in general, it is worth noting that this diesel for all three models actually guarantees at least 1000 km of run at one gas station. Octavia, obviously, will pass more, given that it is much easier. There is a car for the house, for the family 969,000 rubles. The closest competitor could be considered the popular Ford Focus country, however, diesel modification offers only a 1.8 liter motor, aggregated with a 5-speed manual transmission (with the offered discounts of 711,000 rubles).



By the way ...
A diesel engine with a volume of two liters with a variable geometry of the turbine, the Common Rail injection system is installed on many models of the Volkswagen concern and, depending on the modification, can develop from 110 to 179 hp.
