Broken roads and lanes in the life of experimental machines were only episodically.
 
I was pleased that there were no particularly serious breakdowns and now both are in full health. Small damage was corrected either on their own or on the service during the next that. In Samara, unsuccessfully approaching the curb, they split the bracket stretch. Fortunately, the blow was weak and cross, to which the bracket was attached, did not deform. So the replacement of the damaged detail did not cause difficulties. In addition, the nine demanded a valve of oil into the engine.
Visible leaks did not notice, which was rather upset. It’s too early to double, the car is almost new. Let's see what will happen next. The front suspension racks that rumbled from birth were replaced by warranty. This is not easy and long. We patiently waited from July to November, while this knot appears in stock. It would be easier to buy racks in the store and install it yourself, but ... the purity of the experiment is above all. With new racks, the knock disappeared, the muzzle stopped swinging. The reason for the knock is most likely a production marriage, because it was heard from the first day. By the way, we are not faced with such a problem. They know about a similar defect in the factory - in relation to VAZ 2110. After repairing the suspension, as it should be, the angles of the installation of the wheels were adjusted.
As in any domestic car, it was not without annoying trifles. Bucks the leaks cable, glued the trigger in the outer door handle, the rear door opens too hard, the trunk shelf bent. All this is fixable - lubricate, tighten, to fix - but the impression of the car is somewhat spoiling.
But the appearance in the seventh month of the life of the nine of the first redheads on the frame of the windshield is simply depressing. Samara has always been distinguished by good corrosion resistance of the body. It should be noted that neither ninety -third, nor Skoda with Anticorus treated.
 
Felicia, by the way, is not going to rusty, despite the fact that the front of the front is densely covered with abbot of chips. The paint is weakly resisted by the effects of small pebbles flying from the road. True, not one pierced the enamel to the bare metal. The top layer of paint suffers and pink spots of soil shine on cherry varnish.
 
As for the defects, the Czech-German competitor of the nine is also not sinless. The glass cracked on the second fog. We assume that it is not a stone to blame here, but overheating. If the glass was replaced for the first time, now in a hurry they acquired a fog light assembly, immediately felt the consequences of the crisis with a wallet: the pleasure cost 900 rubles.
 
Twice contacted the warranty service. First, the carburetor blossomed - idle turns began to swim, and then disappeared at all. Moreover, the fuel stopped entering the first chamber, and the engine worked only at high (more than 3000) revolutions. The carburetor was removed, crossed, adjusted. There was no visible malfunction, but it has been working since the clock. At the same time, a distributor cover was replaced, in which the nest of the central wire oxidized to an indecent state. After that, by the way, the arrow of the tachometer calmed down, which twitched at idle from the first day. Also, under warranty, the burned intermittent wipers regime relay was replaced.
 
Little things, unlike the domestic car, did not torment the little things. Nothing creaks, does not jam or unscrew. So you don’t have to twist the nuts yourself.
During the reporting period, cars passed the second maintenance. Operation costs are given in the table. So far, the foreign car does not seem too expensive. But in the future, he will probably go in isolation - the dollar rate is growing, and with it the prices of service and spare parts. In addition, Skode will have to be visited more often. She has the frequency of service - once every 10,000 km, given the difficult operating conditions (in Samara - every 15,000).
The average fuel consumption for the last 15,000 km for both is approximately the same - 8.5 l/100 km.
 
This is a brief life story of cars. Now the grades for the first quarter. Alas, not one of the students pulls perfectly. But the four, perhaps, deserve. Moreover, Skoda is solid, and Samara - with a minus, for rust and a tendency to small tricks.
 
 
Once again about the warranty
In the last issue, the magazine spoke about some, to put it mildly, the oddities that are being done with a guarantee for domestic cars. Today we add our own experience to this. Having re -read in the most attentive way all the documents attached to the nine, we, to an unspeakable surprise, did not find any mention of warranty conditions. In the service book and in the operating instructions - not a word, in the contract of sale - a general phrase on the topic: ... in accordance with applicable law .... Representatives of the guarantee service station only after long locks told us that the guarantee for the guarantee for front -wheel drive vases - one year without limitation of mileage. And we thought that the guarantee was already over. Your deeds are wonderful, Volzhsky automobile ...
