Porsche letters are traditionally assigned to models that combine sports and comfort. This fully applies to the new version of the Cayenne GTS SUV.
 
For the novelty, the original chassis is specially developed. For the first time, a suspension with steel springs and a system for adjusting the stiffness of shock absorbers Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) was possible. This concept of the chassis until recently was implemented only on Porsche sports cars.
 
The eight -cylinder atmospheric engine with a direct fuel injection system Direct Fuel Injection (DFI) gives Cayenne GTS excellent dynamics. In the base of the car, a six -speed manual gearbox is equipped. To improve dynamic qualities on Cayenne GTS, the main gear is used with increased from 3.55: 1 to 4.1: 1 with a transfer number. For the optimal distribution of traction force on all four wheels, a Porsche Traction Management (PTM) traction system is installed. In combination with all -wheel drive, PTM helps to increase the level of active safety. For example, with a sharp change in the strip at high speed or when driving along a slippery road.
 
Due to the increased engine power and a shortened gear ratio of the Cayenne GTS transmission, it has excellent dynamic characteristics: a car with a mechanical gearbox for acceleration of up to 100 km/h requires only 6.1 s, and its maximum speed is 253 km/h. Acceleration from 80 to 120 km/h GTS occurs in just 6.6 s.
 
In the standard version, manual transmission is combined with the Porsche Drive Off Assistant (PDOA) anti -leaving system. It facilitates the touch on the rise.
 
Cayenne GTS is supplied to the order with a six -speed Tiptronic Side box. For the new Cayenne model, the automatic box settings were adapted to the sports nature of the machine. The gear ratio of the main transfer, as in the version with the manual transmission, is 4.1: 1. With Tiptronic S, the Cayenne GTS SUV accelerates more dynamically than Cayenne S with a similar transmission. Automatic transmission also has a help system when touched on Hill Holder lift. In terms of its functions, it is similar to PDOA in versions with a mechanical gearbox. Additional fuel savings are ensured by unlocking the hydrotransformer with a fixed car, if the car is on a flat surface, the transmission is turned on and the brake pedal is pressed.
 
The pneumatic suspension proposed as an option in combination with the PASM system can be combined with the active Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) reel suppression system. As another option, a six -speed Tiptronic S gearbox with switching points providing a sports driving style.
 
The pneumatic suspension of Cayenne GTS is characterized by increased hinges of the rear suspension. In addition, the built -in body alignment system supports its constant height regardless of loading the machine. Six fixed body positions are also provided:
 
at a normal level, the road clearance is 195 mm;
at a speed of 125 km/h, the body is automatically lowered to a low level of 9 mm below the normal position;
at a speed of 210 km/h, a particularly low level of 14 mm below the normal position is automatically set;
with a loading level, Cayenne GTS drops 34 mm below the normal level. This position ensures the convenience of loading (unloading) and is possible only with a stationary machine. When touched, the system automatically switches to a normal level;
at the level for off -road with increased road clearance, the car is located 26 mm above the normal level. This position is limited by a speed of 80 km/h;
a special level for off -road is intended for extreme conditions of crossed terrain. The car rises by 30 mm, the clearance reaches 251 mm. With this level, the speed is limited to 30 km/h.
The Cayenne GTS version is distinguished by the sports design of the exterior. The front and back parts of the car are similar to Cayenne Turbo. Extensors of wheeled arches protruding about 14 mm on each side give the machine a muscular appearance. In addition, the GTS road clearance is reduced by 24 mm compared to Cayenne S. The 21-inch Cayenne Sport discs with a dimension of 295/35 are installed as standard equipment for the car.
 
For Cayenne GTS, an exclusive finish has been selected, which is not only beautiful, but also practical. Layers on the thresholds are made of high -quality steel and equipped with an inscription with the designation of the model. Decorative pads on the front panel and doors are made of aluminum. Leather decoration refers to basic equipment. The ceiling, the armrest of the central console, the lever of the gear lever and individual parts of the doors in Cayenne GTS are inhabited by Alcantara. The soft rim of the steering wheel allows the driver conveniently control the car.
 
A feature of this version is sports comfortable seats: the driver and front passenger chairs have enlarged side rollers and are regulated in 12 positions. When you press the button, they can be moved not only in height, but also in the longitudinal direction. Settings using an electric drive are provided for the angle of inclination of the back, the seat pillows and lumbar backup. The central part of the pillows is inhabited by Alcantara pleasant to the touch, the skin is finished with the inside the inside of the side rollers and the central part of the headrests. The rear sofa Cayenne GTS also has more developed side rollers. Passengers in the back row use the same amenities as on the front.
 
Thanks to the back of the rear sofa, the car can easily cope with the transportation of bulky goods. The volume of the GTS luggage compartment, like other versions of Cayenne, increases from 540 to 1749 liters with folded rear seats.
 
In Russia, as in Europe, the sale of Cayenne GTS starts in February 2008. The exact cost of the new item is still unknown. According to forecasts, this version will be more expensive than Cayenne S, but cheaper than Cayenne Turbo.
