There are cars that amaze with advanced technical solutions, stylish design, highest comfort and driver qualities, but their minority. There are other cars, which is not only disgusting, but also unsafe. Fortunately, these are also a little.

The vast majority of cars have positive and negative features. Some steam well, but do not delight the convenience of the salon. Others seem to be good for everyone, but slightly sluggishly accelerate and slowly move from one range of automatic box to another. The noticeable part of expensive models trouble with reliability.

There are balanced machines that have all the chassis, salon, appearance at a decent level. This high -quality consumer goods, unfortunately, does not catch anything special, but it is pleasant in every way. This was exactly what Peugeot 4008, who replaced the 4007th model.

Like the predecessor, the chassis here is from Mitsubishi Outlander, only updated. Therefore, a two -liter motor is slightly more powerful and slightly more burden. If you believe the data of the manufacturer, the atmospheric four develops a capacity of 150 l/s and almost 200 nm of traction. I don’t know how this engine drags a rather heavy car through the variator, it is quite possible that it is not bad, because compared to the hydrotransformer, the variator steals power and the moment is noticeably smaller. In general, it seems to me that a 2.4-liter atmosphere would be more appropriate here. Nevertheless, a machine with mechanics rides vigorously, though the lack of traction on the bottoms does not affect from the start, apparently, therefore, this crossover accelerates in almost 12 seconds to hundreds.

The car holds the road tenaciously, the steering is practiced quite accurately, providing understandable feedback from the wheelrroll. The suspension also does not cause complaints: there are practically no longitudinal pitching, light coating defects are depressed unnoticed, and artificial striped irregularities are forced without breakdowns. He will not submit heavy off-roads, but the last kilometer before the country for larynx or on the snowy rut of the 4008th will pass confidently and without loss of a good clearance (the manufacturer declares 210 mm) and the predictable operation of the all-wheel drive system allows small feats. In a word, Mitsubishi is Mitsubishi, Sorry, Peugeot.

However, it should be recognized that on the chairs the identity of the Frenchman and the Japanese ends. If the 4007th model, from the point of view of the exterior, almost completely repeated the Japanese twin, except that the radiator cladding was its own, then Peugeot 4008 outwardly much resembles the source. It is more elegant, slower, softer and more attractive. With a relatively small length (434 centimeters) and a proportional width (slightly less than a meter of eighty), it looks solid, but not heavy. It blows with intelligence if such a word applies to automobile design. The car’s interior is completely in appearance: it is nice to be here, the finishes are selected with taste, the lines are harmonious, nothing cuts the eye. Interesting, but inside this crossover you feel somehow especially protected to the ground and to the car walking in front of the car, the sides are thick, and monumental racks promise to save travelers, even if the car is lying on their own roof.

Despite the fact that the equipment that I got did not contain the navigator, in all other respects the filling was made at the most modern level: climate control, a good stereo system with a USB port, Bluetooth was not forgotten. In general, if you start a listing of everything that can give pleasure to the owner, you can forget about the main thing, whether it makes sense to purchase this car or not, and if you purchase, then to whom?

I am not aware of what the cunning French marketers thought about, releasing Peugeot 4008 to the European market, yes, in fact, it doesn’t matter to us, because in Russia everything is not like in normal countries. I conducted my own mini-study and it turned out that, according to the reviews of my fellow travelers and fellow travelers, the main consumer of the car we should have ladies from 35 and cavaliers from 50 and other representatives of the notorious middle class almost washed in our country. In other words, this crossover should be purchased by people for whom the main parameters of the choice of car is the ratio of quality/price (the cost starts from 999,000 rubles), high reliability (gutted by Japanese!), Relative undemanding fuel and consumables (does not disdain 92- m gasoline), the convenience and size of the living space in the cabin (the maximum lugger volume is 442 liters), the predictability of behavior on a slippery road (again the merit of the Japanese), good efficiency (8 liters in a mixed cycle, which is almost true), safety, etc.

And, probably, the most important charm. I have not made a reservation, it is the charm of this car, in my opinion, should play a positive role in its competition with classmates, who are more than enough in our market.
