This happened for the first time for us, but this is an autobiographical fact: the test drive of the Nissan Primera car ended in its crash test. The role of the tester was Mikhail Shirvindt.
I have traveled on the Lada all my life. And I got the first foreign car from Roxanne Babayan. It was a Nissan Micra car, which I broke to fluff. I was not to blame - that, the other, flew into me, without stopping at the STOP sign. I won three trials, but I received nothing but experience, of course. Then I had a Daewoo Espero car, on which my son just safely stopped driving, and then Daewoo replaced Lancia. But all this time a great desire, like an awl in one place, did not give me rest - I wanted a UAZ. I mean, jeep.
And one fine day I could not stand it, called the chief editor of the autopilot and asked that there was the best in the Gazik nomination. I listened to advice and bought myself - good, the case turned up good - the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado car. And I realized that I would never sit down for anything other than an SUV. This is my car.
Why is this preamble? And to the fact that, as soon as I sat on the Nissan Primera, entrusted to me for a test drive, I experienced a shock. I felt like a child riding a children's car, similar to what is issued in Gorky Park. And in this little car you are a splashing, you seem to lie on the ground, and you are very scared. Of course, this feeling is understandable. I'm just weaned. Weaned from this point of view. But he got used to it very quickly. Literally in an hour ...
THE FIRST DAY. I got a car of the o'clock in the evening. It was already dark. So I didn’t even really see how it looks outside, my new car. Nothing. I will have time to see enough.
The temperature sensor at the time of landing showed -13. I started the engine and immediately appreciated the fact that Primera immediately warms up. Compared to my booth, of course. Prado, probably, would have to drown at least a quarter of an hour. And here in a matter of minutes all the glasses are clean, and the body is warm.
In fact, in order to study all the nuances of the car, I had enough only one trip. From Bronnaya Street to Ryazan Avenue. I went to Ryazan Prospekt to record a song for the New Year light in the Union studio. The way I sing perfectly, the viewers were able, probably, to evaluate themselves on New Year's Eve. It seems to me that I drive the car better than I sing.
In two hours I drove 19 kilometers at an average speed of 15 km/h. Everywhere terrible congestion. And I am grateful to the example that she distracted me from dull standing in traffic jams. In two hours I noted a lot for myself.
The panel displaced in the center is very unexpected. Bold innovation. I have not met this in any car. In principle, convenient. Everything is clearly visible. Even too much. So I instantly became interested in a huge liquid crystal display with many important functions. All the days when I traveled, I constantly made all sorts of measurements: medium speed, fuel consumption, temperature fluctuations, etc. It is terribly convenient. But here's my advice: do not go crazy. This distracts from movement. And even in traffic jams you should not relax. It is much more useful to analyze. I analyze.
The salon is spacious. It is not even clear due to what. I was sitting in such cars, so I have something to compare. You feel free. CD in the basic configuration is high. Very convenient climate control and radio. Seats are also convenient, a lot of options are regulated in all planes. But with such bells and whistles, in my opinion, it would be more logical to make adjustments with electric ones. And then somehow it is embarrassed to configure all this with your hand. There is too much plastic for a car of such a high class. The Japanese removed the instrument shield, but did not fill the empty place with anything but this plastic. Not comme olfo.
After recording the song, it crawled back an hour and a half. This time already along the enthusiasts highway. He crawled to the Pushkin Theater on a wonderful premiere Black Prince in the production of Roman Kozak. I recommend to everyone. Just like the restaurant Stolz, which we opened with Anton Tabakov and to which I went after the performance. On the Savvinsky embankment, he first checked the speed qualities of the car. On studded rubber, Primera confidently keeps the road even at a fairly high speed. But the first jerk, like power in general, is clearly not enough. And taking into account the fact that the box is a machine gun, you don’t really make a sneaking. However, with this I quickly reconciled and adapted. This is a car and not for riders at all, but for family people. So the fucker is not a reason.
Even when moving at high speed, an electric lotion was discovered, which I did not notice in traffic jams. If the Primera does not fasten, then at speeds above 20 km/h the nasty zummer begins to sound. This sound is not long and crazy.
In Stolz, I sat until two in the morning. Having graduated from a friendly feast, he went out into the street, heated the car in a few minutes and drove home. He parked with the help of a rear view camera. A striking thing! It's just amazing: you turn on the rear gear, and you have a rear image on the display. In fact, this time there was no great need in the cell, but I specially drove up to the cars standing here and there and parked, parked ...
SECOND DAY. Half a day did not leave the house. Only in the second half of the day he went to the cottage. On the street, again, at least the eye was poured, so the appearance of Primera again slipped away from me. And God with her, with elusive beauty. Now more important are the sliding dynamics examples. It is snowing, on the road - ice, and Primera runs remarkably briskly, does not scour, does not act up. Only now I have not fully understood and mastered the switching mode to manual control of the box. Some kind of invented. Anyway, everything is decided by the car. But if you want to play, please play. Previously, they sold, remember, such children's rudders and speed switches on suction cups. Is very similar.
Another problem I had with the figure of fuel consumption. No matter how I tried to save fuel, for some reason it turned out that the car has been burning exactly 13.5 liters per 100 km. Regardless of driving modes.
In such a fierce frost, I did not dare to take my four -legged friend, whose name is Cheser. However, visually I still tried on and determined that the rear compartment would be just right even for a large dog. There is warm and soft.
Surprisingly, Primera climbed on our cottage in deep snow and never stalled it. Not many cars succeed.
The third day and, alas, the last. The next morning I finally saw what my test car in the light looks like. Elegant. Spectacular. The much more beautiful is all the Nissans that are only sold in Russia. The color of the body - like a suit to order - is perfect.
On the way with a summer residence, he let Denis Evstigneev ruin. Firstly, I wanted to get an assessment from the side and make a comprehensive judgment. Secondly, it was just interesting what he would say and how he compares the example with his Opel Omega. Denis is a large person, so he first of all liked the spaciousness of the salon. However, everything else was also awarded his praise.
By the way, Evstigneev is not the only judge whom I can refer to. The second judge is my wife. She hung up a car for two months ago, and we were looking for a replacement with her. I, completely not knowing that they will ever give me Nissan Primera for a test drive, nevertheless, I offered my wife this particular option. He even drove her to the salon and showed a car, which still liked it. But ... for my misfortune, my wife managed to ride for Prado for a whole week. And, PAV, a victim of a 4x4 car, did not want to hear about anything other than an SUV. And the Nissan Primera lost Toyota Rav4.
Without adventures, I got to the capital. I drove in Ostankino. And I was forced to look for a parking place for twenty minutes. That's bad luck: for an example, unlike my jeep, there is no thieves, so I had to suffer.
And again my path lies in the restaurant Stolz. This evening we have a time machine. But that's not the point. As a restaurant co -owner, I just have to attend there sometimes.
My duty ended again in the middle of the night. With a calm soul and a restless stomach, I went home. Empty Moscow, empty embankment, grace. But I did not have time to drive away and several hundred meters, as it happened. For the first time in my car life, I experienced what a setup is. The murdered, dirty Toyota appeared out of nowhere and began to frantically blink me from behind. I was stepping aside, but as soon as Toyota overtook me, she immediately wagged in front of my nose. Reflexively, I gave the steering wheel to the right and at a speed of about 80 km/h flew into the curb ...
There was a terrible roar. The car began to throw from side to side, but nevertheless it stood. Although, I think, at such a speed, few equipment would have been produced.
When I got out of the car, I did not find any external damage. Only the rear wheel was completely lowered. But I was happy early, because the banal replacement of the wheel turned into hard labor. By the way, once I set a kind of record for replacing the wheel. This operation on the Lada took me only a minute and a half. Here - in a terrible frost in a light jacket - I fiddled for half an hour. First, with great difficulty, I found a jack. He ended up in one of the layers above the reserve. There are a lot of such tools for tools. But these were flowers. The berry is the jack itself.
Using the autopilot magazine as a stand, I turn to the developers of the car. Probably, it does not occur to you that a person can change the wheel himself, and the jack in the Nissan Primera car is just for decoration. Or maybe you think that all other people are as zealous as the Japanese, and it is not at all difficult for them to cope with your jack. He is monstrous. Oh, with what warmth I remembered our wretched Zhigulian jack, which can be turned one finger. And your cot, which you need to alternately insert and remove some stud and which in the most mocking way rises not even by centimeters or millimeters, but to angstrem. And now, using the same rostrum, I turn to the potential customers of Nissan Primera. First of all, after the purchase, throw the standard jack to the damn mother and buy a new one. At least ours, eight.
In the end, I managed with the wheel, but I never had to leave. It turned out that I smashed to smithereens and brake discs and part of the front suspension. I had to call the traffic police and the tow truck.
That's how my test drive ended tragically. He turned into a crash test, and his results give me reason to say that Nissan Primera is a very good car. In an extreme situation, she behaved better than I could expect. I will say more: she behaved much better than myself.
