EURO NCAP experts allowed Nissan to re-sides after identifying production problems with passive security systems. In front of the front impact, the front stand was damaged, but the body retained the integrity. Driver's head hit the steering wheel. Pedestrians were protected better than usual.

Front punch:

The body sufficiently solved the blow, despite the fact that the connection of the front rack and the transverse beam in the front panel began to diverge. The front passenger airbag was criticized for unstable contact with the passenger's head. In turn, the passenger can damage the knees about solid elements in the front panel. The central seat of the seats is equipped with a three-point seat belt, providing better protection compared to the waist.

Security of passenger children:

Both children's chairs are created specifically for Primera. It is used for installing ISOFIX mounts. The chair for the older child is also fixed with the upper fastening. The 3-year-old passenger was located in the chair "in the direction of movement", and 18-month-in the chair "against the direction of movement". The eldest turned out to be well protected with frontal and side shocks. The defense of the younger was not so good at the frontal impact. Pedestrian safety:

The hood provided some softening of the strike, but its front part turned out to be very tough. The overall result was above average and did not reach the rating of two stars.
