Test drive Nissan GT-R R35 Restyling since 2011 compartment

Test drive of the updated version of the Nissan GT-R Super-Kara Super-Kara

Dirk Shoisman is one of those people whose appearance contradicts the chosen profession. A tall, with a quiet voice, an exquisite sense of humor and a constant friendly expression on his face: he simply must have some kind of unconditional profession. Perhaps a veterinarian, or, perhaps, a social worker. But who he does not look like at all, is a person who, in all likelihood, knows the northern loop better than any other living. At the time of our meeting, there were almost 19,000 circles on Nürburgring, the most frightening and complex track in the world, and since the length of the route is 22.5 km, during his time he drove the distance from the ground to the moon. If there is a person who could introduce me even better with the Nissan GT-R 2012 model year, then I am not familiar with him.

The creator GT-R, Cazetosi Mizuno, threw off the veil of secrets from his hypercar in 2007. If you strain the memory, you can recall his warning that until the release of the machine, which he calls the real GT-R, three more years. All this was immediately forgotten, almost without a trace was swept away by a hurricane of the ornate prose dedicated to the 480-horsepower Porsche destroyer. Soon, this car began to be called exclusively Godzilla with a fierce insatiable monster, which everyone without exception worships.

But nothing lasts forever. Whether it is correct or not, but GT-R achievements began to be measured on the basis of what sensations he gives or how it looks, but from how quickly it can pass the circle along the Nurgurgring highway. At first, few could at least get closer to the result, comparable to the result of a narrowly specialized racing prototype recorded in the early 1980s, when the track was still used for racing. But the rivals did not doze off, and soon serious representatives of Chevrolet and Porsche not only equalized the score, but also overtook GT-R. This problem had to be solved. And this decision was the Nissan GT-R 2012 model year. The plan was to beat the previous record of the Nurburgring circle, and so coincided that I arrived just on the day on which this historical race was performed by the selected Nissan pilot, the former Formula 1 Tosio Suzuki (at the time of my arrival of my arrival He was waiting for suitable weather, which was in no hurry to improve). Therefore, I went to test GT-R with Shoisman.

Changes on board
Usually, if the model is decided to refresh shortly after the start of the release, designers are focused on modifications from the category of inexpensive and prominent even non -specialist, which as a result gives more changes external than tangible. But this is GT-R, and the usual rules do not apply to it. In fact, you need to look closely to notice that the front air intakes were 60 mm wider, and a narrow strip of overall headlights were added. Much more noticeable is the beautiful 10-spite cast discs and a wider rear carbon diffuser. Changes in the cabin are barely noticeable, the most significant can be called the use of carbonate as a finishing material around the central console.

But under the hood there are a lot of innovations. The most significant of them is larger than a boost, fewer restrictions on the path of air entering the engine, the revised valve lifting time, which ultimately can significantly increase the power of this 3.8-liter V6. Nissan so far refuses to give accurate numbers and is finished with a common phrase on the increase, at least 40 hp. Compared to the previous model.

Then the designer team switched to the structure of the car. As a result, GT-R 2012 received a carbon transverse spacer of cups of racks under the hood, giving the body more stiffness, which had not yet turned to call the tongue flexible. New shock absorbers have been installed, the diameter of the front brake discs has grown by 10 mm and is now 391 mm. It is interesting that now Carbon-Keramika is not included in the menu. As for the tires, now the GT-R has a completely new rubber in both the pattern and the composition, which makes the car more progressive in a wider spectrum of conditions without losing the necessary adhesion. Finally, the rear diffuser is now not from a series of decorative elements, it helps to increase aerodynamic clamping by 10%.

What he is
The water rivers, texts on the track on the day of our dough, for the Shoisman sitting at the wheel of GT-R, were not difficult. Even in such conditions, the Nissan GT-R 2012 behaves so magnificent as if he is able to walk on water. Shoisman believes that the increase in power is not bad, but the changes in the structure of the suspension, which have significantly improved the behavior GT-R, are much more impressive.

But even if it were not so, such a pilot as Shoyisman is able to cope with any list of sins and errors, and therefore the only way to find out if the true reflection of what GT-R is now capable of, what I feel, what I feel, what I feel, While driving this car, it is to remove Shoisman from a driver’s seat, to leave the track yourself and try not to get off it from the highway.

Undoubtedly, the power increase is felt, although if you do not have the opportunity to transfer from the previous GT-R to updated, then you are unlikely to notice this: it has always been frighteningly fast, and it remained. The most spectacular can be called its work at low speeds. In theory, a small motor for issuing impressive power must be untwisted to high speeds. But in reality, everything turns out to be different. It perfectly pulls up to 3,000 in any of the six available programs. This feature has two facets: on the one hand, this enables simple mortals to drive on this car at least every day, on the other, it gives a connection with the real speed that has not been before.

But Shoisman was right. A huge step forward updated GT-R is his chassis. Nyurgurging conditions on the day of our race were the highest. In some places, the coverage of the track was completely hidden by water, in some places stormy streams flowed through it. It was almost impossible to guess what the clutch would be, but GT-R through the seat and the steering wheel gave a delightful sense of confidence, as if saying: do not be afraid, click on the gas.

Why does it matter
The former GT-R were very far from the real world, with the dexterity of Circus, they excluded the driver from the process of driving and delegated him only an indication of the general direction. The same gives the driver to feel like a part of the process, feel the ability to make (or not make) it with a quick sports car. I want to drive this car, and it makes it special.

The main achievement of the Nissan GT-R 2012 is not that it has become faster, but that now it is easier and more fun to manage. In other words, the absent piece of Puzzle, let's call it the human factor, was successfully found and added. Finally, Nissan GT-R is completed.
