The first impression of CX-7 is still fresh and good. And the impression of Armenia is slightly lubricated by the number of local traffic police. The most unpleasant occurs in the range of 50-70 kilometers per hour. If you suddenly turn into your head to overtake someone, you will have to stock up with patience, soda and popcorn. The car refuses to turn on the first gear, and the second is clearly not enough for dynamic acceleration. We have to wait and twist the engine in the ringing. However, it turns out that the car is not very intended for this: in the official presentation there is a key phrase that this car does not need overturning dynamics. For the first time I hear this.


Motor 2.5-deformed version of a similar unit from Mazda6. It is 7 horsepower weaker, and its torque is 20 nm less, but it is achieved twice as earlier-at 2000 revolutions per minute against 4000 at the six.

So what did Mazda do with the crossover? Under the hood, the CX-7 has a four-cylinder engine with a 2.5-liter volume. Power 163 horsepower and 205 Nm of torque. This is an excellent result for a two -liter engine, but for two and five are not enough. It would seem that the lack of extra drives (this CX-7 front-wheel drive) was supposed to improve the situation, and make the crossover more alive. But in fact, an almost two -ton car clearly suffers from the escaped thoroughbred trotches. You can really feel the whole Zoom-Zoom only by going down the mountain.

As for the consumption, I ate about 11 liters on the CX-7 highway, and if you actively attack in corners, the consumption rose to 13.5 liters, which, in general, a little, remembering the records set by his turbocharged fellow.

As a result, I stopped crushing the gashter to the floor and went smoothly. It was here that the new version and revealed all its virtues. As soon as the SX-7 showed his nose because of KAMAZ, or to go to the intersection, the cars parted respectfully. Indeed, outside it is not clear that the car does not pull the mountain or that there is no full drive in it. But a stylish design is perfectly visible, which may not make everyone counters tremble in fear, but to show respect for sure. For a girl who moved from the same Mazda 6, the ideal option.


In appearance, general CX-7, only cheaper and more economical

A reasonable decline in price did not affect other strengths of this machine. The CX-7 is still comfortable and soft, on high-speed descents it allows you to feel one hundred hundred and the accuracy of the steering wheel and the adequacy of control. All thanks to the cunning rear multi -link suspension on a separate subframe. And noise insulation in CX-7 2.5 was completely pleased! Road noise is almost inaudible, only muffled rumbling is heard from under the hood. The CX-7 is also not lost in the crossed terrain. The road clearance in 208 millimeters will make you forget about scratches on the bumper and other passenger troubles when crossing borders. Off -road? The owners of such cars do not need it.

Spartan car cannot be called the equipment leaves a good impression. Let there be no skin here, but in the cabin there are very comfortable seats with light gray fabric trim. They are adjusted manually, but there are enough settings for any growth. After a 400 kilometer segment of the path full of serpentines, there was no hint of fatigue. The CX-7 all the way supported the perfect temperature inside, struggling with the tropics outside, and the rear view camera facilitated the maneuvering in close parking lots. And you rarely find an automatic box with competitors without crazy overpayments.

Sales of Mazda CX-7 2.5 began on July 1. The price of the car in the Touring version will be 1 million 130 thousand rubles. 15 thousand will have to pay for the color of metallic, and another 20 thousand will be asked for tinted glass, rear view chamber, rain sensor, and a more sophisticated radio with MP3.

By the way, next year we are waiting for the new Mazda CX-5 crossover, built on the new SkyActiv platform. It is possible that this car will be assembled in Russia! At least, an agreement on the construction of the Mazda plant in the Russian Federation has already been reached. But, to be honest, I would not refuse CX-7 at a discount.



Alternative
Toyota RAV-4. With the front-wheel drive, the RAV-4 is supplied only in combination of motor 2.0 and a mechanical gearbox. In the configuration, the standard car costs 941 thousand rubles. For a surcharge, you can get all -wheel drive, and for a long -drawn version with 2.4 and an automaton will have to prepare 1 million 310 thousand.

Honda CR-V. Almost for the same money that Mazda CX-7 2.5, Honda offers its CRV with a 2.0 engine on a handle, with an ordinary air conditioner, but with all-wheel drive. If you choose an option with a machine gun and all -wheel drive, the price will jump up to 1 million 245 thousand rubles, but the winnings will not work out. For the version with the 2.4 engine, you will have to pay more than 1.4 million rubles.

Subaru Forester, let this crossover give way to Mazda in size, but it can offer a variator, all -wheel drive and approximately similar equipment for 1 million 67 thousand rubles. Only the dynamics of the 2.0 Mazda version is lame for two seconds faster in sprint up to 100 kilometers per hour. Forester 2.5 accelerates in 10.2 seconds, but in the version with an automaton it costs more than 1.3 million rubles.
