Here it would be possible to sort out on SUVs, outline the high -speed section of the rally dopa, or just travel. And we flew to the Ministry of Walls to test Infiniti FX.
In mineral waters, no wind, no rain, no snow. The airport building plunged into silence, the sun gently warms the crown. It seems that the velvet season here lingered for at least a month. Holy Territory!
Infiniti is also so sunny. Whether a joke for the first quarter of the current year, brand sales in Russia increased by more than 120% compared to the same period of 2007. It is possible that it is for now, because Infiniti has become more on one full -wheel drive model since this year: the youngest appeared in the ex line. In addition, the FX model has undergone serious changes in them, in fact, we flew to identify. What innovations will be?
And the specialists from Infiniti are smiling. Rejoice, joke, because to present their cars for a trifle business. They made beautiful FX even more noticeable, added capacities, improved the platform. And they did not allow a single disputed moment. Well, isn't it a master? ..
The first victory of the chassis. Similar to the G35/37 models and the M-series sedan, it is equipped with a new front suspension on double parallel levers, which increased its course in comparison with the previous generation. At the back constructively, it did not change it, but facilitated the subframe, making it more compact. The body itself has become 1.6 times tougher for twisting, and 3.4 times per bending.
Diffusors in the front wings are not just a catchy design stroke, but an important aerodynamic element. They provide hot air removed from the motor compartment and reduce the lifting force of the front of the body by 5%, improving the stability of the car at high speeds.
 
The second motor. Forced 3.5-liter 307-horsepower, with a system of continuous regulation of the phase of gas distribution (CVTCS) and a higher zone of effective revolutions than that of the predecessor: the red strip begins at 7500 rpm.
But the main one, of course, is not in the lineup, but a new 5.0-liter unit. Oh, how it sounds! It is difficult to identify the engine from the cabin at low speeds. He whispers, caressing the hearing of a barely perceptible bass, but is in no hurry to throw out the liters of fuel through two pipe of the exhaust system with a roar. You need to get used to it, understand, feel.
The gas response occurs a little faster than by car with a 3.5-liter engine, but this is a little in use by 400 liters. with. It turns out to be a hurricane! The engine is equipped with a V-VEL system, which regulates the height of the valve lifting, increasing the torque in a wide range of revolutions.
The new FX50 has an adaptive system of headlights (AFS), capable of automatically control the direction of lighting, based not only from the corner of rotation of the wheels, but also of the speed of the car. The maximum turning angle of 17 degrees, which contributes to a safer entry into turns in poor light.
 
There is something alien, wild in this: the fastest of Infiniti and this is not Emka, not ji, but a tall and massive FX. Here I made a mistake. Choosing a relatively straight section, in different modes from zero, 40 and 100 km tested acceleration in Kick Down mode and, inspired by the result, went towards the engineering group to find out what kind of powerful variator was put on a new generation of FX.

But how is it? I ask. With a 3.5-liter engine, this box behaved more twitching than with a V-shaped eight! True, Dergano is a slightly sharp definition for a smooth and balanced in general automatic transmission, but the difference is still noticeable. We reprogrammed the control unit, calculated the most powerful power, and the mechanism itself, of course, was the same answer.
Climate control FX has two operating modes. In the Clean Mode position, the system produces a low concentration of positive and negative ions that contribute to the settlement of harmful particles (mold bacteria, spores of the fungus, etc.).
In Ion Mode mode, the system throws out a large concentration of negative ions, thereby refreshing the air in the cabin.
In addition, a new filter of fiber, impregnated with polyphenol of grape seeds, capable of neutralizing allergens is installed in the crossover.
 
Variator sensations are also given by the DRM system, which smooths the speeds of revolutions when switching to lower gear. The nature of the movement is extremely even, without shocks in the transmission and extension. Cool box! And the chassis is cool.
The bad, and in some places the disgusting roads of the periphery of the Stavropol Territory did not at all embarrass the dense fx suspension. As far as such roads of 80,000-100,000 km are digested, it has yet to be found out: the abundance of parts from aluminum alloys has never been a good option for off-road.
