Infiniti FX37 test drive since 2010 SUV

Test drive Infiniti Fx50: 5-liter American dream

If all your life you breathed unevenly to the American muscle-CARAM and multi-leaved engines and their gluttony do not scare you, then the Japanese Infiniti FX50 can become a great replacement for Mustang or Camaro in your garage.
Some people love a calm ride. In any case, I admit the existence of such personalities. Moving around the city at a speed of 60-80 km/h is wonderful. This is safe and does not contradict the rules of the road. The car with a modest herd under the hood is also great. A small fuel consumption, small tax, care of ecology. Continuous advantages. But there are people who are not used to observing the rules who like to stand out from the total mass and live to the limit of their capabilities. So used to live and Infiniti FX50.

From this car you should not wait for a small fuel consumption. 400 horsepower (according to a passport) in a five -liter motor V8 does not smell like modesty here. The average consumption for the test was 25-26 liters per hundred (slippers on the floor and Infiniti FX50 went into the separation, separating from the general flow of machines). The minimum consumption is 18 l/100km.
Sitting this monster, personally, I did not feel comfortable. The pumped -up hood with protruding ribs prevented the size of a car, a light gas pedal constantly shot a crossover forward. But you quickly get used to it and begin to classify these features rather to pluses than to the minuses of the car. The design of the car is contradictory and its functionality is in doubt, but road tests are successfully dispelled. At high speed, the car holds the road perfectly and is easily controlled. Sudden turns and maneuvers FX50 are easy and the rolls of the case are not noticeable. You get used to the acceleration to a hundred in 5.8 seconds instantly and the next day you cease to be surprised why the rest are still at the traffic light, when you are already at the next one. Compared to FX50, other cars just stand still (not all, of course, but most). Technically, the Infiniti FX50 is an all -wheel drive car, however, the distribution of torque in not equal proportions with an emphasis on the rear axle, clearly affects the behavior of the crossover. If desired and under certain road conditions, the Japanese Muscle-Car can show miracles in a controlled skid (such tests were carried out by professionals. We are not advised to try people without a certain preparation). In fact, most of the time, bored in traffic jams, the FX50 hardly reveals the potential embedded in it. He will strictly fulfill all the driver’s teams, reverently take care of people's health in the cabin, joyfully greet you with rumbling from under the hood and brazenly throw dust in competitors along the highway. But our roads and the number of cars will very quickly turn it into an ordinary SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle), which only occasionally can feel free.
Infiniti FX50 is not a typical city crossover. Huge wheels, a threatening silhouette, a wild roar of turbines, the assertive character, few crossovers can compete. Nevertheless, nowhere except in the city you will not travel in this car. He loves a good road, and off -road does not just scare him, but easily disables him. Despite the 21-inch discs, the clearance of FX50 is only 18 cm, a little more than that of cars. Fortunately, the city borders are not a hindrance to him.

In the interior Infiniti FX50, an atmosphere of luxury reigns. Starting with the leather upholstery of the seats and ending with the finish of the central console (also leather). But the overall impression of the ride is spoiled by a high level of noise from under the wheel arches (a victim of large wheels and a low rubber profile). It will not be difficult for a person of any height and physique in front, but the rear passengers of a large build can be cramped.
The equipment of our test sample included navigation. Communication with the GPS did not cause any difficulties and it will not make problems from the point, if only the native navigation will know the street (Pervomaiskaya St., for example, Infiniti Fx50 refused to look for). From other troubles during testing, a glitch of brain was noticed, due to which the heating of the seat of the front passenger periodically refused. Restarting the engine eliminated this problem, but it appeared again. By the way, the mileage of the car was approaching the first (10 thousand km.). Otherwise, the equipment of the Japanese SUV causes only joyful feelings. Here you have a high-quality sound from Bose and a DVD player with two monitors (the front operates only with a parking brake on), and a bunch of security systems (ABS, EBD, BA, VDC, TCS, AFS, RAS, TPMS), for which you can Make a separate dictionary (he is at the end of the article).

We have already complained about everything possible, there were only advantages that, when using daily use, help get rid of the mean thoughts about the amount spent on the purchase of this car. Infiniti FX50 is designed for very wealthy people, for whom the car is important not so much comfort as its potential and racing opportunities. Fans of large cars and high speeds will certainly like this model, although most will still think about a more modest FX35.
