Most importantly: this car is giant. The appearance of a modest nipples is deceiving. This is an AVOSKA bag: it does not take places in itself, and you can cram a lot. Inside, at least play football. This is a JAZZ chip. And it has long been appreciated by a huge number of people around the world. Over the next month, I have to evaluate it.


Restyling outside is almost invisible. The headlights, a bumper and a radiator grill changed a bit. And no one demanded any radical changes. In fact, this is all the same Fit that the Japanese began to produce exactly 10 years ago.

I still know the capacity exclusively visually. I didn’t have to carry anything voluminous (oh, will it be necessary?), But the look accurately determines the real carrier. So far, it was only possible to check the carrying capacity: four bags of cement in the trunk is not a problem! It is only necessary to remember that with such loading, the adhesion of the front drives worsens strongly. Otherwise, Honda reacted to this mockery completely indifferent.

Interior


After updating in the interior, little changed. Honestly, nothing, except that the backlight on the central console became the same as the dashboard of the orange panel. And the pompous knight of the robot replaced the usual variator stick. Her petals also came with her.


It is a pity that after the facelifting, materials did not become better. Plastic is still tough and untidy. New items, such as Opel Meriva, put Jazz on the shoulder blades in this regard.


Driving Jazz feel very freely. Spaces are enough from the sides, and on top and forward the windshield stretches far. It is strange that in such a large car from the inside, the range of longitudinal adjustment of the seats is small: with my 183 cm I move back to almost the last click.

This is indifference, by the way, curtsy towards an excellent Honda motor. How this 1.3 -listen modest man manages with such zeal to carry more tons of equipped mass, passengers and the load of a mystery. Perhaps the answer is hidden in the I-VTEC proprietary system, which at the top seems to open a second wind in the engine, creating a feeling of picking up. Of course, do not think that Jazz is super -dynamic. This is not true. VTEK is not VTEK, but only 100 horsepower and 12.8 seconds to hundreds. But at least in the city you absolutely do not feel at least in the city. The variator is always ready to support the impulse of a brisk motor and, in sports mode, famously throw the tachometer arrow to 6,000. Relates? Yells? And how you wanted. But it goes!


The seats of the second row can be folded in one movement, without pushing the front seats. The luggage compartment volume increases from 335 liters to more than one and a half cubic meters, and its length to impressive 1720 millimeters. You can use the space between the two rows of seats, lifting the second row pillows to the vertical position.

The endless transmission works in full sense with the right foot: drowned to the floor received a kind of variator kick-downs, let go of the revolutions slept. Of course, I would still prefer the car on the handle. But in our country, cars without a clutch pedal. And therefore, the variator looks a very understandable and friendly thing, especially if you recall that brossom-samodura, which was installed on Jazz to restyling. Personally, I consider the change of transmission the most correct and, importantly, expected update. More precisely, a return to the roots: after all, the past Jazz was also with a variator, and in Japan it was always equipped with CVT.

Jazz is a great training machine. Narrow wheels screech at such innocent speeds, and demolitions and drifts proceed so smoothly that even a retired grandmother will not frighten. Although the fact that the car, when the stabilization system is included, is quite easy to discharge gas to the skid and continues to follow it up to the attempt to correction, gives rise to certain questions to those who configured ESP.

The steering wheel is quite accurate. Especially for a car with a high body, which is primarily positioned as family. But at the same time very light. And ours and yours. And I am pleased to steer, and fragile young ladies will not be burdened with excess effort.


Jazz is very simple and understandable in its reactions. It seems that it was possible to light up, but the rush soon extinguished narrow tires that do not welcome driving even with small overloads.

A separate respect to the suspension. I have already said that she even suffers barbaric loading. But, besides this, it is also very comfortable. In jazz, I would easily go to Dalnyak, in contrast, for example, from a classmate Fiesta, which I had driven recently. It is unlikely that any other car in this segment is able to round the irregularities so well. And moreover, to do this without seemingly long time to come to sound and blows. At the same time, the suspension settings allow jazz without looking back, sustainably rushing in a straight line (oh, there would be more power!) And not to pass on the turns. He could be even faster, if not for treacherous tires. I think if you put the wheels more and the rubber is a little wider, then the pleasure of driving will increase. There is potential.

Well, my family (or rather non -dimensional) situation and recently excessive employment, unfortunately, does not allow me to evaluate Honda, like a real compactwane, which he has the right to be called the right to be called. Put a refrigerator, washing machine or a couple of bicycles into it. So far, only a small story about what has already been able to feel: outstanding internal size and a very good connection with the driver.
