Why are there experts, when for many Japanese, including for me, the name Civic is associated with the image of a completely different car than the one that is currently produced. It is very significant that the result of the implementation was not as favorable as the manufacturer would like the company, only about 2.5 thousand per month. Good or bad - I do not presume to judge. It is better to ask the authors of the project.
No, I do not want to say that in the new car there are no more attention of new products. Take, for example, the windshield, which is spectacularly littered with, or dash signs on the front panel of the cabin, which are located in two tiers, upper and lower - all this in itself is not bad. But in general, either there is not enough freshness, or there is no bright highlight, I don’t know, but only all this looks uninteresting. It hurts. Here you think,- and maybe in order to overcome the stereotype and shake the buyers in a new way, one should generally abandon the presence of modifications with only a gasoline engine in the model range, and at least translate it that part of it that is that part of it that is that part of it, which is that it Designed for sale in Japan, exclusively on a mixed type of traction?

Yes, now you can’t believe that the first generation of the Machines of the Civic model range made so much noise with its appearance. Is it a joke, the car became a car of the year three times in a row! And the modifications of Wonder Civic and Grand Civic had such a deafening success among young people that they began to say about the appearance of a special type of small -leaf. At least, the question of being or not to be a small -scale car with front -wheel drive was finally resolved in favor of being only after the Honda Civic model appeared on the market. And after all these revolutions to turn into an ordinary sedan, this is perceived with bewilderment. Especially a lot of bitter minutes, I think, experienced those whose youth was just in the 80s.
But on the other hand, if you distract from this glorious past, who, in fact, decide to seriously say that the new sedan is not suitable for anywhere? Already, at least, with regard to the coloring of the body and equipment of the salon, now everything has become much better and impressive! In particular, the option of coloring the body on a two -tone basis, which is called super - platinum, was there anything like that before, huh? When in the sky a clear sun, the car begins to shine like an advertising sample! And from the game of light and shadow of the body, it seems to be transformed. Who can say that this is bad?
At the same time, I don’t understand something myself. In particular, why only a sedan? Why not dilute the model range with a 5-door hatchback of European configuration? I first saw him at the exhibition in Frankfurt, and he looked advantageous then. Well, then, when in Geneva I saw the model R, I was generally delighted.
Useful volume and practicality

The CIVIC car interior is a new sample spatially and did not stand close with the previous model. In a positive sense, of course. In fact, he already clearly went beyond the boundaries of a small car, that's for sure. Now the salon of this size, which 1 2 generations ago had only Honda Accord. And the rear seat, how comfortable it became! The floor under the rear seat has become almost even, so it’s a pleasure to sit from behind. True, due to the fact that the width of the car has grown, the axis of turning the rear door moved back. Moreover, a stand for jars in the lower part of the door in one word, if the rear passenger has to go out or getting into the car when it stands in some narrow place, it will not be very convenient for him. It is likely that one of the possible ways to solve this problem could be the replacement of the rear door panels with others that would be with smaller and without a stand. At least in the cars that go to the domestic market, such door armrests could well have passed, and nothing terrible would have happened.
The dashboard divided between the speedometer and the tachometer, depending on the driver’s pose, can be partially blocked by the steering wheel. The idea is good, but in the future it would be necessary to slightly change the position of the devices or adjust the production of a driver’s chair in order to eliminate this defect.

With a sharp press on the accelerator pedal, the car accelerates so well that it remains only to be surprised, especially those who are used to driving the Honda Civic car of the previous model. At the same time, the circuit of the governing bodies from the very beginning sets up in a serious way. In particular, the driver’s seat seems somewhat isolated from the rest of the cabin, and you immediately become more serious, reasonable, ready, figuratively speaking, to control the machine so that it is not in vain to burn a single excess drop of fuel.
A sedan intended for adult drivers is what Honda Civic is the last model. And all the more offensive that it has an annoying, as it seems to me, imperfection. I mean some kind of toy design of the dashboard. In particular, in order to improve its review, an analog tachometer was placed under the digital platform of the speedometer. Thus, the so -called component dashboard was formed. As a result, the devices began to be seen quite well, but the impression is as if you were not in front of you, but their imitation, as in a slot machine.
Based on information from the manufacturer, it was easy to expect that the practical sides of the car would also win. In particular, in the legs and at the level of the head, the salon became much more spacious. Unlike hybrid cars produced by Toyota, Honda Civic Hybrid is not required too cumbersome battery. In the same way, the control unit does not take up much space. That is why they were able to place them in the small gap between the back of the back and the wall of the trunk. As a result, neither the cargo capacity of the luggage compartment, nor the comfort of the salon from the presence of these additional devices were affected. That is, of course, they suffered, but managed to get by with small losses.
Technical features

The mixed traction system that Honda puts on its Civic machine is fundamentally different from a similar device used in Toyota brand machines. When the car stops, the internal combustion engine also turns off. But the fact is that the movement in EV mode, that is, is completely on electric traction, the Honda system is not provided. In other words, no matter what happens, but on the go, the internal combustion engine is always turned on. True, it is characterized by an increased efficiency (1.3-liter, equipped with an I-VTEC system). This engine is combined with the IMA system, that is, Integrated Motor Assist. Such a combination of gasoline and electric traction allows you to quite dramatically change the pace of movement, and at the same time, the fuel consumption will be about one liter by 31.0 km of the drunk path. This is a really outstanding indicator.
If we analyze the general impressions of the control of the Civic Hybrid car, then the main thing is that, it seems to me, it requires refinement is its comfort. On a smooth road, the car goes more or less evenly. But as soon as she reaches a ribbed surface, her legs begin to feel a small vibration. If not for this, then the running qualities of the machine would be evaluated much higher. But then the operation of the steering mechanism in this machine is more sports than, say, in the Toyota Prius car. In the winding sections of the highway, you can worship the steering wheel, and this will deliver a lot of pleasure. The difference between these machines would be even more noticeable if you agree to some fuel overrun and retraining the car into the 16-inch tires with which a car with purely gasoline thrust is equipped.

When I found out that Honda decided to make a typical sedan and transfer it to a mixed type of thrust, that is, putting the IMA system not it, it did not encourage me too much. But as soon as I got behind the wheel of this hybrid, its sports character was a complete surprise for me. First of all, one cannot fail to notice how exactly the car performs steering commands - turns exactly as much as you measure it with a steering wheel. Further, a more or less sharp press on the accelerator pedal turns into an immediate increase in speed. The impression is that although it is a hybrid car, all positive running qualities still give out the Honda brand in it, which cannot be confused with anything. And I am sure that I will not be original if I say that the internal combustion engine in this car is more significant than in the Toyota Prius car.
But at the same time, we should not forget that under all equal conditions, the fuel consumption of the Honda Civic car (31.0 km/liter) is greater than the Prius car. And the point here is not that someone's technology is inferior to another. The difference is who has what the cost of manufactured products. The designers of Toyota, regardless of costs, installed an expensive system in their car, thanks to which their brainchild became the champion in fuel saving. Well, in the company Honda they chose a different tactic, the essence of which can be expressed with a phrase money loves money. That is, they didn’t really want to spend money so as not to raise the price of their car, but at the same time they also achieved a good indicator of economy. As you can see, everyone has their own approach. What happened at the exit? The Honda Civic car costs from 2 million 194.5 thousand to 2 million 362, 5 thousand yen. And the cost of the Toyota Prius model ranges from 2 million 268 thousand to 3 million 225 thousand yen. It seems that the difference in price turned out not so significant. But it should only be borne in mind that when producing a first -generation machine, the Toyota company on each car produced by it incurred losses in the amount of several hundred thousand yen. So it is possible that making the Civic Hybrid model is still more profitable.
