Modyus (emphasis on the last syllable!) And the fusion what is common? Both have grown vertically from the popular basic hatchbacks of the class in Clio and Fiesta, respectively. Not yet Mikrovenes formed their subclass in+. Their habitat is a metropolis, habits are comfortable movement with low speeds. In this mode, a low silhouette and excessive streamlines are not needed. But you can raise the ceiling above your head, make the passengers more vertical, give the long -awaited freedom of forever clamped knees, improve visibility, increase the volume of cargo transported. What will you have to sacrifice? An increase in fuel consumption at high speeds (small) and a change in the center of gravity (raised slightly higher), which negatively affects the quick passage of turns. But both in given conditions are irrelevant.
But there are plenty of differences between these models. And not in the little things, but in ideology. Ford is not too radical. He is a small station wagon, slightly lifted over the road to overcome city obstacles such as borders. But the height of the cabin is more exactly so much so that a tall person cannot be reached to the ceiling even with a vertical landing.
But Renault, even by French avant -garde standards, the original. A person who is not at all interested in cars will pay attention to him. The growth of the model in height occurred unevenly without narrowing, the roof of almost the same width as the bottom of the body. Visually, the superstructure seems to be expanding up, but not to the same extent as Fiat Multipla. This made it possible to make the doorways so large that even the largest rider should not bow and squeeze when landing. And the compact hood makes Modus a half of the acquirer.
It is very difficult to compare the hamster with the parrot, but if they are approximately equal in size, both warm -blooded, herbivores, amenable to be tamed, why not? ..
Dynamics
Small cars are usually quite alive even with small engines. And with stusial engines, they seem to be real lighters. You perceive their dynamics more acutely, and it seems both inside and outside, that acceleration is more active than they really are: drivers of surrounding machines do not suggest that a semantic baby with naive eyes will suddenly break and fly forward as stung.
With the proximity of comparative indicators, Ford dynamics are more impressive. Its gas pedal allows you to more accurately dose accelerations and keep the car in constant tone. Above and the elasticity of the engine is provided in a wide range of revolutions. If you add a relatively short gear line and a clear work of the KP lever here, we get an almost perfect city ensemble. And if it is not the work of pedals, you could put the fusha five. The right leg with the reverse course all the time imposes the brake pedal, and it is inconvenient to transfer it there in case of braking. And the work of the clutch is disappointed by the fact that there is no special site under the left leg, and in the narrow gap between the pedal and the foot sheat is not more than forty -sized. What is the female car? And this is already similar to discrimination on a sexual basis!
Brake dynamics are also with reservations. Usually large Fords are poorly slowed down, but apparently this baby carries relatives of relatives. ABS here, in principle, is, although, it seems, some very classified. You slow down on the floor on a snowy road, the car goes to the yuz. Neither clicks nor jerks that are characteristic of ABS are observed. By the way, since they remembered the winter operation: the Fusion salon warms up much longer than you expect a family line again. Do you want more critics? Ford is noisy in noise insulation of a cheap car to save. And the fact that our Fusion with all the bells and whistles costs nearly twenty, it seems that few people care about.
What about Modyus? Of the shortcomings, primarily stretched gear. Between the first and second interruption ... here is big. But the car does not stall at the touch, as a competitor. With minimal gas, you can almost throw the clutch pedal. Another plus: despite the fact that in the city noise, which in Renault breaks out without large interference, the sound of the motor at idle is almost not heard.
The Frenchman accelerates, maybe not bad, but the picture spoils the slurred switching of the mixer growing from the floor. Somewhere there in the bowels you must feel the desired gear and get a lever into the required position. And this is on a new car! And what will happen after the run of thousands of at least a hundred?
But the Renault brakes are good! They are somehow exaggeratedly effective and easy. Unless the pedeli move is short and difficult to dose the effort, but by the end of the riding day you get used to it. And, pah-pah, there was never a fear that I would not lay down along the brake path.
Controllability
Let me start with patency. Yes, after all, one of the goals of creating this type of body to raise it over the road. Of course, in order to get out of snow captivity, there would still be a 4x4 wheeled formula, but it is easy to run into snowdrifts without risk, it is easy to open up the bumpers. And Fusion was especially successful in this. This is a real find for a city dweller, who has to repeatedly park in places where cars are grazed for a day!
But Renault is easier to put in the far corner. The steep angle of rotation of the wheels, almost missing overhangs and the location of the driver close to the front edge of the car allow you to seep into completely incredible cracks. And no matter how close you are not to be lost by the front bumper to the obstacle, it turns out that there are still ten centimeters left. Anoting is an vision in your favor!
Oh, these steering electricalors are cheap and angry! But you have to talk about the reverse reaction on the steering wheel only in the subjunctive mood. Understanding at what angle the wheels are turned right immediately. Especially in Renault. And Ford rides honestly. Even very clear like a thread behind a needle. The classic version of the front -wheel drive. But on the curve he bit a little, and the muzzle went out of turn until you slow down. At what point the wheels will hook behind the road and the trajectory is rounded, it remains only to guess. But this is in winter. On the road with a good clutch, this problem almost does not arise. And embroidering in a light powerful car with sharp reactions is a pleasure.
Another feature of the fusion long -term, hard suspension. All minor irregularities gather at the body, and on large pits, the Ford is jumping like a grasshopper, but it never comes to the breaks. The situation can only be corrected by loading two or three passengers to brighten up your journey and make the trip unforgettable-complicated. Or maybe this is a hint of a capacious trunk, where a zealous owner carries his priceless junk?
Modus is much softer. He, of course, does not have a luxurious Ford clearance, but if you did not tweak anything for him during the congress from a high curb, then you won’t feel any shaking. A surprisingly energy -intensive suspension, which extinguishes fluctuations in a wide range. To pass steep turns, the suspension, however, is soft, the machine swims out by all four wheels. But the rotation here is close to neutral, and season the modus back, when you have already loaded the front, is easy to add gas.
Ergonomics
From the point of view of landing behind the wheel, Renault is geometrically preferable. Unless the knees rest against the steering wheel at its average position in the angle of inclination have to reject the column from yourself. True, the steering wheel at the same time does not interfere with the instrument shield not behind her, but in the middle of the panel!
In Ford, the door presses the door noticeably more closely on the left shoulder, and the large -sized passenger on the right will also be with you in direct contact. This is the same case when there cannot be unequivocal preferences. Both cars have bright character traits, and at the same time, a considerable list of claims to them. But, given that both applicants perform in the original genre, I would single out Renault as more than a task.

If you find fault with the words, then at first glance some kind of nonsense is obtained: both of these tiny vehicles are officially called compact universals of increased capacity (UPV) ... It is logical to ask: can it be something compactly increased? It turns out yes. For example, Modus is shorter, and, indeed, higher than the Clio III soplatter. From here are so original, and, I would say, fresh proportions. Fusion also does not lag behind originality, is also high, but more restrained in style. Its design is clearly aged, although the recent facial delays brought into his appearance the fashionable features of a two -story radiator cladding, which is so related to many German cars today. The Frenchman's face freshly and pretty lets the eyes of the headlights and lifts the orange cilia of the turn signals. You can’t call a pretty, but attractive. The silhouette is also characteristic and very modern. For example, the roof line falling back sets the profile with a serious dynamics, from which the baby breaks on the road, even frozen in the parking lot with a covered handbrake and without a driver. The German side in comparison with this violent manifestation of vitality, the charter of the guard service, although there is a slope, and wedges of the window sill, but there is no courage. At the back of Fusion, in a hurry, it can be misleading: either Fiesta, or Focus, or C-Max probably, Ford stylists greatly dislike the theoretical statements of Banglla and strive this similarity to pinch his colleague. Well, well ... if Modus caught up on the road, then in order to recharge with life optimism, I would specially slow down, let go forward, and admired his mischievous rear lights. INSIDE
The interior style of Renault is not suitable for every driver and not every suit. Such an interior will also not raise the image. The task is not the same.
