As a true Frenchman, this copy met me with sparkling cleanliness and hot hugs. Everyone knows the difference between the cold snow-covered parking and the cooler of a warm garage. We met we quickly. Outside C-Crosser Full Estet: gray-green noble metallic, silver decoration of exterior details, obviously French eye cut, habitually in Citroenovski shredded spout and a wide smile of a falseradiator grille. In addition to this, the bulk bumper smoothly goes into the arches of the wheels, small ears of the mirrors give an excellent overview of the side surfaces and adjacent strips, the wind rose is shoved on the rear rack, and the elegant relief of 18-inch cast discs attracts views. The interior of the C-Crosser for me was unusual, it is understandable. This is the first Frenchman in my practice. The two oval deepening of the tachometer and the speedometer with the panel shaped canopy are rushed immediately. Between them, a two-section onboard computer monitor: In one part, the fuel level indicator, the degree outside the window and the function of the checkpoint, in the other - already normal information: consumption / kilometer, current travel, refueling, etc.
Due to the habit of managing the computer with the knob's spokes, the switch button has long been looking for a long time, and with surprise, the inscription info on the panel to the left of the steering wheel. It's funny, but on the go, this location is impractical: you have to reach your left hand and for a while throwing the steering wheel that is not always safe. Just below on the panel, you can disable parking mode and the ASC system (stabilify control authors).
By the way, the buttons and control levers in the steering zone are sufficient. On the spokes lined with silver finish, there are buttons for selecting the functions of cruise control on the right and automagnets on the left, three mobile communications control keys are located between the left and central needle. Childish is available: speak, remove the tube, put the tube. Pulling the cut-off bulk of the beep button with branded chevron complement the peeing long petals of the variator. There are two more standard levers: for turn signals / headlights and for janitors / washer. Side mirrors and windows are familiar with the driver's door panel, however, you are pretty low.
On the console at the very top, red display indicators of the car: time, the frequency of the radio wave, the folder number, the track from the disk everything is intuitively controlled by the bottom buttons. I will note, the radio receiver at times gives extra hiss, but it catches where others do not cope. When listening to high-quality CD recording, you can get a true pleasure from the Rockford Fosgate system (8 columns, a subwoofer and an amplifier by 650 watts). The salon is filled with atmosphere of music.
Let's return to the console. On both sides of the signal signal, the passenger airbags are connected, and below the climate control wheels, where the functions are separated by zones: temperature, blowing capacity, position. Even below the compartment for the smallest, cigarette lighter and covered with skin ashtray glass, gearbox, hand brake and cup holders.
However, what is being left from the handbrake made me pleasantly surprise the wheel of the drive modes. Citroen C-Crosser engineers give the driver to choose between full and front-wheel drive. And for slippery surfaces there is a Lock mode, which forcibly blocks the clutch and helps to get out of difficulties not too experienced driver. It is said that there is still a car mode, but I have seen only three zones of division, which already beneficially distinguish this crossover from classmates. In any case, the savings are obvious: when moving in 2WD mode, the average fuel consumption ranged in the region of 17 l / 100 km, and when switching to four-wheel drive, 4WD immediately took up to 23 liters per hundred. And only the journey along the highway gave it easy to breathe the flow rate dropped to 10 liters. The thing is that the road was slippery and snow-covered, and therefore the average speed ranged within 80-100 km / h in the most economical mode.
The interior decoration also surprised me: panel plastic on the touch looks like a rubber, but for which it does not understand when the panel is lowered. Perhaps such a coating has an antistatics effect, but I did not have enough time to check. To decently spray in the cabin, you need to keep it without cleaning it.
The skin is soft, on the side supports of the seats porous, not cold. Heated seats triggers quickly. Even at very low temperatures, the heater heats the salon rapidly, the zones of deflectors are large, and they are enough for everything, and during a long journey in the cabin easily maintain a comfortable 22 degree.
The driver's seat is controlled by the electric drive, but there are no such function from the passengers. But the comfort of travelers adds the spaciousness of the salon: a lot of places for any growth, if you are four, slightly closer if there is a fifth.
And now Surprise :-) If you are gathered by the company, and you are more than the standard number of passengers - not trouble. Citroen C-Crosser has spare two chairs. The third pair is completely hidden in the luggage compartment, it is as needed. The seats of the second row move back-forward already at 80 mm. And they are equipped with an automatic folding function. I note the volume of the luggage compartment ranges from 441 to 510 liters. If you fold the second row of seats, the total trunk volume will reach 1691 liters.
The C-Crosser movement is calm, which, in my opinion, is due to dimensions and weight. It accelerates inert, but moving easily and maneuverable if no one bothers. For overtaking, you need more than 170 horses, squeezed from 2.4 liters of volume - or turbo engine, or just do not need to be a crossover. But the variator is an interesting thing. Shooting I did not notice. What smaller you put on the accelerator pedal, the calmer the engine will be responding, and if you often use a sneaker to the floor, the variator adjusts to driving style and the machine becomes more than normal. But in traffic jams, you go perfectly quieter, then you will be, and without a rollback during the stop and on the pedal brakes do not need to keep the leg. Slows down not sharply, but persistently. Oh, if only not fuel consumption!
There is one more minus to put it mildly, the wipers work so so, and if you fell into a slush, then this is a full paragraph. From ahead of the running machines, the windshield and the front headlights are splashing very quickly. The wipers, clearing the windshield, leave the mud flaws, as the main portion of the washer fluid every time falls on the headlights that it does not help. As a result, non-sampler ends instantly, and this is not surprising - the volume of the washer tank is only 5 liters! For an SUV - still not enough. As a result, after a short time on the track, you go almost blindly, and even the distant light of bixenon headlights in the dark does not pierce this dirt. Interestingly, when a decrease in the air temperature below is 10 degrees Celsius, the system washer washer is also freezing through, as the nozzles are on the hood lid, and the hoses are located between the hood lid and thermal insulation. And with minus 15, the liquid for some reason frozen in the tank, but it is rather a claim to the manufacturer of non-freezing fluid.
