The desire, however, can still be explained - where and when, if not at night and in his hometown, can a person limited in time realize the monstrous potential of the RS6? All these 450 liters. With. and 560 Nm of the torque, which shoot the car to a speed of 100 km/h in a miserable 4.7 seconds, and do not allow you to drop the seat from the back of the seat until the maximum allowed electronics 250 km/h? Of course, its true essence is not visible during the day - the station wagon as a station wagon, large, five meters long. Unless a knowledgeable person will notice the body, which was slightly distributed in the sides, huge wheels, two oval peaks of the exhaust system and huge nostrils of air intakes in an enlarged front bumper. And if such a person drew attention, he will understand why the body is located unusually close to the ground, and why the alarms are triggered from the sound bursting out of those very chrome ovals. Well, yes - there are still nameplate in front and behind. And what's inside?

But the most amazing is the size of this room. How can all this squeeze into a Moscow apartment? It simply cannot in any way - Margarita thought. So inside the RS6 is a continuous deception. The seats are soft, but from the recaro, and they wrap the body so tightly that you will not break out. The range of electrical adjustments is huge, and it allows you to dislocage imposingly, but this is nothing - not a single normal driver will allow himself to relax in such a car. The font on the instrument panel, however, hints that this is not an ordinary A6, and the central console is finished with carbon. But the same carbon is in the list of options almost for any Audi model. And even if you are not misleading either the opportunity to get comfortable in the back seats, nor a huge trunk that can be increased to the size of the cargo platform, folding entirely or in parts the rear sofa - this car is not designed at all for the degree with the mother -in -law behind, and not for transporting refrigerators. Yes, start the engine - and you will understand everything at once!
 
I launch, transfer the machine lever to the Drive position, and I understand everything at once. Goodbye, calm! As if the right leg that came out of obedience for some reason sharply drowned the accelerator pedal-and then the car with incredible force, as if something exploded behind, threw forward. The space around in an instant narrowed to the size of the windshield, everything around seemed to have disappeared - only the road remained ahead. The leg is stubbornly does not leave the pedal, the automatic box sorted out the steps with cat speed and softness - you can only guess about the transition from one gear to another. True, the regime of manual switching is provided, but, I must admit, for the car with such a powerful engine, and it is not too relevant on a straight line. And what is this red light in front? Traffic light! I order my foot, finally, from one pedal, and move to another. The braking pedal seems light, but it is worth clinging a little more, as you understand that this is just an illusion from the magicians from Brembo, whose calipers and pads dig into perforated wheels, like a bull terrier.
 
Green, ahead of the overpass, and again - gas to the floor. In the middle of the flyover, already two hundred. Damn it, and here you will not relax at eighty! But - late, there is no time to be distracted by the arrows. Further turn, you can brake, but at night - nobody nearby, and therefore I admit a small counter -schedule. The body slipped sideways, again gas, and again - in a straight line. The steering wheel is magnificent. A small bagel lies perfectly in his hands, with a feedback no problem. This is what allows you to control the car at any speed.
 
And one more point, which you will not immediately pay attention to. Inside, it is surprisingly comfortable and quiet, only the sound of the exhaust system makes its way into the salon at high revolutions of the motor. This is why you practically do not feel speeds, and at the speedometer, if possible, it is better not to look, so as not to get scared yourself
 
Well, enough! RS6 tired me? Not at all. Just a few night hours flew by unnoticed, it would be time to take a break. Having parked in the parking lot, I hear a metallic crackling - these are brake discs cool, made of cermet.
 
Morning, traffic jams on the roads, but there are no problems. After a night flight, I can afford to just let go of the brake pedal, only touch the accelerator slightly, and swim along with the stream.

Needless to say, the Audi RS6 is almost the price of the aircraft - more than $ 120,000 in the salons of official dealers. But do I have any doubts that the hunters before this bullet with a large trunk, before that a wolf in sheep's skin (forgive me for an involuntary stamp)? No!
 
And there are no competitors, by and large. In any case, I cannot recall the station wagon from other manufacturers with an equally powerful V8 equipped with two turbines.
