Roman Rusinov: Yes, you're right. Therefore, it was the main thing for me so that during the restyling the character of the car would not change, so that it would not lose its uniqueness. Now there are not many cars that stand out with their special disposition and handwriting. For example, Porsche 911. And Audi R8 is similar to him in this regard. They just slightly improved the car. New, very beautiful headlights, the new rear bumper in the R8 GT style has become even more aggressive, even more sports and more attractive.

A. Sh. But the main novelty is the box

R. R. Yes! Many previously scolded the R8 for a slow robotic box. They even said that the R8 has nothing to do on the track, that the box did not provide the desired switching speed. She was also criticized for too sharp switching in the city. The new robot has changed everything! Now the moment of shift of transmission during urban ride is almost invisible, and on the track the box allows you to very quickly, almost instantly change the gears in both manual and automatic mode. I prefer to switch manually, but for those who are just starting to travel to track-days, it is quite possible to trust in automation. The time on a circle from this will not get worse.

A. Sh. Tell me about the new modification of the R8 Plus, which was not there before.

R. R. But there was R8 GT my favorite modification R8, an extreme track version with a safety frame, four -point seat belts, a mass switch with all those things that ensure safety on the track. In addition, the GT was more powerful than others, had carbon brakes, aerodynamic body kit, stationary anti -wing, a more rigid suspension. Only 333 such cars were produced. In fact, Audi used these achievements in the road car. R8 Plus is devoid of the frame, it has ordinary belts, but otherwise it is almost GT. Already in the standard configuration of carbon brakes, the power is almost the same as the GT (550 hp against 560 hp), the suspension settings are similar. Moreover, the R8 Plus is even better than GT, because she has a new robot, which is much faster than an old gt box.

A. Sh. Have you managed to travel on all three versions?

R. R. Yes, I drove both by car with V8, and on the family with V10, and on the most powerful R8 V10 Plus. All three cars have become better. I do not know a single other average machine with such a balanced chassis. If earlier, insufficient rotation, albeit small, but still present, now the balance is absolutely neutral. You yourself choose what to do with the machine in the bend, you play with its balance with its addition or discharge of gas. Even a V8 car is a very fast and pleasant car in driving. Moreover, it is easy to quickly go on it not even a very experienced driver. But I'm not bored! Although, of course, I prefer more powerful cars with the V10 engine.

A. Sh. Coupe or Roadster?

R. R. They are both good. For the track, I will choose a compartment, in addition, V10 Plus version is available only with the body compartment. But for everyday driving is quite suitable and class. The body is very hard, you practically do not notice the absence of the roof. Perhaps on the track a lack of body rigidity is felt, but on a serpentine this is imperceptibly. I really like the sound of the V10 engine, it does not look like anything. And in his relatives it is especially good. And I like him!

A. Sh. So you are delighted?

R. R. in absolute! I always loved this car very much and did not wait for radical improvements, but the updated version was able to hit me. I repeat, in my opinion, this is the best medium -sized compartment in the world. Perhaps there are two supercars that are above all: these are Porsche 911 and Audi R8. It will be very interesting to compare them at the next sports car of the year!
