It lies, I must say, not in the abundance of chromium or ornate stamping of body panels and almost not to be found. The point is the perfection and finishing of the lines that you can look at without tired: that two relief parallels on the sides, which on the unusually smooth arc of the trunk cover, turning to the wings, which is pairled in the top of the inverted trapezoid of the anthracite grille of the radiator. But the main person, which, thanks to the pingeous headlights with LEDs of daylight, became much more exquisite and noble.

However, initially when you see the A6 from behind, you can easily determine its far from proletarian origin, you just have to light up the stop-signals. All the same LEDs, but collected in two Latin U, present a magnificent picture. Not only is they visible from a huge distance, they still create a style in which there is no place for frivolity and cheapness. But the character, powerful and swift, is visible without difficulty, however, as in the whole appearance. But without severity, although A6 for the sake of comfort has become several tens of millimeters wider, and the wheelbase has grown up to 2912 mm. However, the car practically retained the length and height of the previous generation, and therefore the current 4915 x 1874 x 1455 mm is nothing more than the usual classical proportions, appreciated by the consumer wallet.

Google chooses the new generation
True, behind these proportions lies a completely different salon, indeed the 21st century, which has become much more perfect than before. The point is not even in numerous options for its design, including four color of the skin of the seats, their rigidity and the ceiling finish. The new A6 has absorbed all that modern and fashionable electronics, which is equipped with a much more expensive A8. Yes, and her frame is matching. No heavyweight or excessive pathos, despite the fact that the inserts in the doorway or an elegant soft torpedo can be trimmed with a wooden veneer. In our case, they are dull aluminum, since the machine is equipped with a S-line sports package. This, by the way, is the three -spoke steering wheel, as well as the details of the exterior, including the threshold lining, framing the radiator and nameplate on the front wings. But the essence of the six does not change all these decorations.

First of all, the car is very comfortable. Despite the small height, there are plenty of space above the head of the driver, and first of all due to the range of adjustment of the chair, and the width is quite suitable for people who do not neglect fitness. Especially spacious behind, where three adults will be completely swayed, here it is, an increase in the torso! Naturally, the central tunnel interferes with the legs a little, but due to the increase in the base and the engine displacement with the gearbox forward, there is more knee places. Such trivial calculations are fading into the background, when it comes to mastering the captain's place. With all the abundance of the functions that were overwhelmed by A6, buttons and handles on the cockpit at least. Unless those responsible for working with a two-zone climate control. Diesel is our banner!
True, a neglected diesel with a torque of 500 Nm makes you forget about electronic lotions, as well as that the A6 body is made of the most dumb steel and aluminum, which means that the designers admit that the car may have an accident. The excitement and thirst for speed reinforce the optional active sports differential on the rear axle and the Quattro all -wheel drive system. The six starts very assertively, choosing the programs, as she was proposed in advance, but there are no hints that there is no diesel under the hood, but the matter is not only in good sound insulation, but also in the motor itself and its release system. To make sure, I open the window a little, but, except for the usual road noise, I do not hear any extraneous sounds. At the same time, the turbodiesel, which has gained a hundred for 6.1 s, is all one: that a protracted rise, to overtake on which it is not the slightest work, which is straight, where the automatic transmission goes to the seventh gear, as much as possible fuel. Yes, at such moments, it is difficult to understand the psychology of our buyer, who is croaking with the word diesel.

However, for doubters, there is a 300-horsepower gasoline version with a compressor supercharger and the same QUATTRO, which is nothing to frost and slush, and the option is simpler with the 204-horsepower atmospheric 2.8 FSI and the Multitronic box. Also, I must say, a great choice, given the basic price of 1,850,000 rubles. Moreover, all versions are taught to ride excellently. Since it can be assumed with a high degree of probability that none of the owners of A6 will bring such a car to the race, it will not feel a striking difference either in traction or controllability. After all, the fundamental technique of all sixs is the same, including independent front and rear suspensions, passive safety in the form of eight pillows and body with programmable deformation, as well as brakes that will quickly stop any of these models at speed far over 200 km/h. But there is another option. Get the maximum that the representative A8 offers in the back of A6. And these are completely LED headlights, pneumatic suspension, the whole set of the most modern electronics and active security systems, a built -in massager in chairs and, of course, considerable investments. In conditions of the cramped metropolis, why not?
