Frontal blow:

Nissan changed Navara, paying attention to areas that caused the greatest concern for the first test. The control program of airbags was revised, and in a second test they worked as it should. As a result, the protection of the head and neck for both front riders is recognized as good. However, the passenger salon was again very deformed, which, coupled with a high degree of compression of the driver's chest, led to a low rating for the protection of this area. Tough elements of the torpedo are a danger to the knees and hips of the driver and passenger. Also, excessive compression of the indentation for the legs of the driver was recorded. The testimonies of the mannequins sensors indicate the weak protection of the driver’s legs, and the displacement of the pedal node back led to a low rating for protecting the feet and ankles. The manufacturer responded Navara D40 (starting with VSKVND40U0016577) to modernize the control program of the airbag. EURO NCAP experts urgently recommended that owners of car updating contact representatives of the company.

Safety of passenger children:

In the frontal and lateral strikes, based on the testimony of the mannequin sensors, Navara scored the maximum number of points for protecting the 3-year-old passenger. The presence of the possibility of installing the chair using the ISOFIX mount system in the rear seats is not properly indicated. The warning in the sunscreen clearly indicates the danger of installing the children's chair “against the direction of movement” to the place of the front passenger with an active pillow of safety. The number of languages \u200b\u200bin which this warning is performed increased the rating in this category from three to four stars.

Side blow:

Maximum points are accrued for a lateral blow to the car overlap. The side curtain of safety is not included in the basic configuration, so there was no test on a lateral blow to the pillar.

Pedestrian safety:

The surface of the hood surface, where the head of an adult pedestrian will fall, provided good protection. In other places - the place of a possible hit of the child’s head, the front edge of the hood and the bumper - a low assessment is set to ensure security.
