Comments:
The new generation of Vectra has a strong body and protects its passengers. The car was well postponed a frontal blow, after it all the doors opened normally. However, the load on the chest driver turned out to be relatively high. Both children's chairs used ISOFIX fasteners, and the "younger" mannequin was well protected. Like most, simultaneously with Vectra tested cars, the car badly protected pedestrians.Front punch:
The car strongly endured the frontal blow, the deepening for the legs and the doorway was not deformed much, but the accelerator pedals and the brakes were just shone and down. The design of the pedal implies their disconnection when a collision increases the safety of the driver's feet, however, during test strike, the deepening for the legs was not damaged enough to work the data mechanisms. The knees of both sedodes threatened a collision about solid elements of the front panel. The central seat of the seats is equipped with a three-point seat belt, providing better protection compared to the waist.Security of passenger children:
The pictogram with a warning about the presence of anterior passenger airbag was placed on the right side of the front panel, but it did not prevent the danger associated with the installation of a children's chair "against the direction of movement" in its place. Children's chairs were installed in ISOFIX castles, these were recommended by the manufacturer of Kiddy's armchair for children of both age groups. The chair for the younger showed a good result with a frontal and lateral blows, but the chair for the older child could not protect him in any test.Side strike:
For the protection of passengers with lateral strike, the car earned the maximum number of points. Security curtains protect the heads of the sediments of both seats rows. In the test, they proved their effectiveness.Pedestrian safety:
Only four control points from 18 provided protection. This is a bad result for a new design car, and experts recommended the manufacturer to pay more attention to the security of such a group of road participants as pedestrians.General information about the car
