Comments:

Although some deformation of the body was observed, Space Star retained structural integrity and protected passengers. Driver's head and chest are exposed to increased risk of injury due to a strike of the steering wheel with a stronger collision. Whatever it was, in the crash test EURO NCAP SPACE STAR airbag worked quite satisfactorily.

Front punch:

The head and chest driver hit the steering wheel, which, with a more serious collision, could lead to severe injuries. Perdine airbags are included in the basic configuration for both front row seds. With a somewhat different strike of the driver's knees about the front panel, it risks to get serious damage to the legs. The central seat of the seats is equipped with a simple waist strap, which can cause damage. The three-point belt is an option, however, experts believe that it should be included in the basic configuration. Front places are equipped with safety belt pretensioners providing additional protection.

Security of passenger children:

The car was equipped with a safety airflock for the front passenger, dangerous for the child in a children's chair, placed in this place, "against the direction of movement." This is informed by signs on the edge of the front panel and the warning in three languages \u200b\u200bon the visible side of the sunscreen visor. However, none of these messages mention the likelihood of obtaining severe or fatal injuries with such an installation of the chair. The manufacturer recommended the use of Universal Chairs Storchenmühle Air Seat. When the head of both passengers hit the head of the chairs, with a sufficient force to obtain head injury. However, this result is quite predictable due to the design of the chairs themselves. Otherwise, they showed themselves well, but the inevitability of the injury made them the worst chairs of all ever tested.

Side strike:

Unlike most other tested cars, Space Star is not equipped with side airbags in the basic configuration. Also for the driver there is an increased risk of getting an injury of the abdominal cavity.

Pedestrian safety:

The hood and bumper provided pedestrians weak protection. Some points at the front edge of the hood also ensured the mitigation of the strike, which is rather unusual.
