Personally, it seemed to me that the former glory of the brand had reduced, but here I was in the cabin of XC70. The first thing that impresses is not soft plastic, but causing respect for its quality. And most importantly, in the instrument panels, there are no motives for now a fashionable cheap hobby for a pseudo-cosmic design. There is no stupid feeling that the fan of the movie epic Moscow Moscow was working on your car: everything is solid, logical and expensive! Additions to the dimensions did not take time at all, and this is by no means a considerable (4.838 m) car length.
For a test drive, I got a 5-cylinder turbine diesel diesel with a volume of 2.4 liters. Contrary to personal hostility to the sound of this type of unit, I caught myself thinking that this is exactly what I would like to hear in the cabin of my own car. The Volovites worked well with the sound of the exhaust system, although the company does not mention this anywhere. AT i will say confirmation that I am a music lover, but I traveled with a radio turned off (the sound of which a company familiar to all the admirers of high -quality sound Dynaudio worked on the sound).
A couple of weeks before the test I read a number of not quite flattering reviews to the suspension, and therefore this aspect interested me especially. And again I was amazed. Of course, not everything is perfect, but oddly enough this bribes, that is, the car has a clearly expressed character: there is what he loves and there are roads that he clearly does not like. And specifically, then the movement along the highway is close to the ideal: exemplary silence, both aerodynamic and from the suspension. Even at speeds of over 170 km/h (apparently, the presence of double glasses is important), the movement along the paving stones is no hints of negative emotions! But still there are oddities, especially when passing at a low speed of shallow potholes, when a distinct metal ringing is heard ahead. And yet, I would not call it a serious drawback. For myself, I identified this as a mysterious feature and manifestation of character.
Among other things, for the first time in practice, I encountered a system of automatic braking with dangerous rapprochement: on the Moscow Ring Road involuntarily felt the correctness of her work. It makes no sense to write about dynamics and handling, I evaluate everything subjectively. For example, for the owner of Toyota Corolla, it is amazing, and for the happy owner of Lamborghini is weak. Moreover, this can be read about this in many publications.
Yes, I almost forgot about a rare, but an exotic aspect of the machine has a clearly expressed gender. In the sense that it is quite funny (although it is possible) to present a woman in my opinion by the owner of this midday, in our Unisex society, this is rather a plus than a minus.
And the last exterior. At first it seems controversial, then unusual, and then you begin to love it. As you know, all that does not immediately mean for a long time! So I, owning the Lexus RX 300 (good as a whole, but without a highlight, without character and with a ridiculous cheap plastic), I seemed to have a dream named KhS70.
