Just, I can’t attribute myself to the fans of the Swedish brand, but I admit: the Volvo cars can be treated exclusively with reverence. And the top version of the XC60 crossover 304-horsepower T6 R-Design literally makes itself respect. For each square centimeter of the area in this car there is the highest focus of power and safety, which can only be represented.

However, for the beginning, XC60 looks cool. Swedish crossovers have already become a familiar sight on our roads, but the execution of R-Design adds to the familiar appearance of very intriguing details. The racing design implies metallized elements of the external design: framing the radiator grille, thresholds, deflector in the rear. I will note the chrome mulberry trunks with a cross section of 90 mm, as well as the absence of fog in the front bumper, adding the appearance of lightness. All this looks good, but the most important thing, of course, the wheel of 20 -inch Cratus discs are simply luxurious.

The salon is also not quite ordinary. Blue dashboard scales, a special decoration of leather seats, a sports wheel, metallized pedals are paid attention to themselves ... In a word, R-Design’s iconic trifles emphasize its chosenness and exclusivity.

Otherwise, the XC60 is a typical Volvo, thought out and convenient. It’s very easy to find the optimal landing behind the wheel. All that is needed to drive the car itself, as well as music and climate control, is always at hand. There is no need to stretch anywhere, nothing has to be sought. The thin central console is not only an elegant element of design, but also very practical, moreover: in the back there is a half -erased cavity for trifles. Although even the capacities and boxes on the cabin are scattered in abundance.

The central console itself is slightly deployed to the driver. Someone will call this a blind imitation of the BMW style, but I personally believe that the expanded panel is actually not only curtsy towards the man while driving. It is worth at least a little ride on Volvo, and you quickly remember the location of the most commonly used buttons and switches. Yeah, here, on the left, the keys of the telephone set, and a little to the right of the circle of the musical system. Well, thanks to the detailed console, finding them to the touch is much easier. And this, by the way, is a real personal security factor.

From negativity, only trifles can be noted. Here, say, the driver’s right leg rests on the edge of the central console. Not too cool, especially considering that the edge is quite sharp. Another remark is not the most spacious sofa. If at the wheel a tall man, pushing the chair to the stop, then in the back row literally, there is nowhere to put your legs. However, today I will be in the role of the driver, and therefore is enough about spaciousness. It is much more interesting to talk about the driving qualities of the machine. And then what an interesting thing it turns out. The fact is that the Volvo XC60 performed by R-Design implies the most powerful engine indicated by the T6 index. The in-line turbo-sheet with a working volume of 3 liters gives out as much as 304 liters. with. However, despite the maximum speed of 210 km/h and upgrading up to hundreds of only 7.3 s for the city crossover, the car conquers more than solid numbers primarily with reliability. In all senses.

On the one hand, the crossover pleases with responsiveness. Say, I liked the combination of gearbox and engine. The car reacts very lively to the slightest pressure on the gas pedal, without pauses and delay and this is even in normal D. However, you can switch to manual mode, and it will definitely not be worse. In addition, the machine is equipped with a Four-C suspension with shock absorbers of variable cruelty. In the most extreme level of Advanced, the car holds the road very tenaciously, fully justifying the presence of more than 300 horses under the hood. The most warm words are also deserved by powerful brakes that effectively besiege the crossover from any speed.

At the same time, the XC60, confirming the unquestioned authority of Volvo in terms of protecting the driver and passengers, is equipped with all kinds of new -fangled gadgets designed to make any trip extremely safe.

So it turns out that the most powerful XC60 combines the advantages of two cars at once. Firstly, this is a very dynamic machine, which, thanks to the 304-horsepower motor, is ready to challenge the BMW and Audi. And then, without unnecessary thought, you can transfer the keys to Volvo to your girlfriend to grab shopping. Do not be afraid, thanks to modern safety means, three hundred horses will not bring not even a very experienced driver.

We do not love
The display of the board is located in the same height. Indications without problems are read by lateral vision. Smart

The Volvo lighting device unit, as in German cars, is located on the panel to the left of the steering wheel. You find the desired switches with your eyes closed. Familiar

20-inch wheels look excellent! They provide the machine with better handling, and most importantly, the smoothness does not spoil the smoothness. Beautifully
