For example, in the adjustment of Volvo cars, which is considered exotic among tunnowmen. The only company engaged in this in our country (near 10 years!) Is Obukhov Autocenter. And since 2000, she is also the official Volvo dealer.

 

If anyone remembers, there was such a concept - a Volvo -Driver. Inappropriate, observing all the rules of the road, a family man of respectable age, the main thing for which is safety and comfort. The Volvo car was a means for moving from one point to another, and nothing more. Boring, isn't it? So it was until the mid-90s of the last century. Then the company decided to wash off this stigma, and the first step was the appearance of the 850th model. Further - more: motorsport, charged versions (T5, R), advanced, fresh design. In general, a radical change in image occurred. Although the reputation of the safest car in the world is still for Volvo.

 

Obukhov Autocenter as a tuning company demonstrates a fairly extraordinary approach to business, its product - fast cars that can carefully move along our roads without damage to their applications and, most importantly, reliability. Flabus, Lorinzer and Emock in Moscow - a dime a dozen. Their strip is oncoming. Aggression, power, suppressing the surrounding steepness ... But huge wheel wheels with superenize -pro -profile rubber, developed aerodynamic skirts and parquet road clearance greatly narrow the battlefield. Such machines are very vulnerable on tram tracks, the streets of the streets, and in winter they just feel sorry for them, in fact, that's why they are sleeping in the dens. As a rule, this is the second, or even the third car in a personal garage. Meanwhile, the fascination with all -wheel drive has not passed our country. A harmonious combination of comfort, sports and cross -country ability is just in the spirit of Obukhov, and it uses the appropriate source material.

 

The company still puts on the growth of turbocharging and reprogramming of the brain without increasing the working volume. This is the most effective and reliable way to rise in power. The second point is an increase in road clearance and a change in the characteristics of the suspension. Well, of course, decor.

 

A couple of years ago, we rolled the Obukhov ote, built on the basis of the Volvo C70. This time we were offered to evaluate the last work of the company - Volvo S60 AWD R.O. More recently, in the spring, the factory S60 AWD visited the test, so the car is familiar. But here are the last two letters? It turned out that R is a tribute to the 850R model, and O - Obukhov.

 

The car was prepared for a particular customer, or rather the customer. She chose Volvo, one might say, by chance. The girl wanted an all -wheel drive Jaguar, but in the car dealership the department selling this brand was closed, but the Volvo department worked. And there she suddenly really liked the new market - S60. But there was no all -wheel drive version at that moment. However, hunting is more than captivity. The searches began that brought our heroine to Obukhov ...

 

The topic of increasing engine power arose quite quickly, but before conducting tuning, it was necessary to roll at least 20 thousand km. They started work in May. What is the result?

 

Given the floor of the customer, the final product, to put it mildly, surprised. Black machine with tightly toned glasses, black optics, black discs, aerodynamic skirt. And from this ominous type of car comes out a fragile high young lady with a child - I’ll only bring bags home, I was on the market. I finally hang. Yes, there are women in Russian villages ... Why do you need such a monster? The answer is simple - I wanted.

 

Was around - the exterior is very convincing. The body kit from the company MSD added weight and sports for the already dynamic S60 body. The 16-inch wheels seemed small, at least 17 inches are asked. Booked exhaust system. The rear lights are varnished, on the headlights - removable tinted caps. Two spotlights behind the false radiator grille were given to help the headlights, which were noticed only during the shooting. The body itself was repainted from gray to black metallic with large grain. (Actually, Obukhov is not indifferent to mother-of-pearl paints and chameleons, which, in my opinion, lubricate the design of the body.)

 

The salon was seized. Black skin with silver embroidery, finishing seams would not have prevented the same color. The anatomy of the driver's seat is changed to the hostess. The inserts in the doorway, the handle of the KP, the handbrake, the steering wheel are made solid and strictly. Otherwise, everything is familiar: only the driver has electrical settings, the Ford -haired steering wheel switches ... The front panel, the central console, successful in terms of design. It would be nice to redo the stereo system. She does not play very cheap for such a car.

 

In technical terms, only the engine was subjected to refinement. They replaced the turbine: it was low pressure (0.5 bar), became high (1.1 bar) - it is equipped with T5 modification. A small resistance air filter also appeared. That's perhaps that’s all. But this is enough to remove 300 hp from 2.4 liters of volume. Instead of the previous 200 - power increase is more than noticeable. Powerful even acceleration pleasantly presses into a chair, the stock of traction is enough at almost any speed. An increase in power hid the anticipation of the accelerator pedal, which earlier often had to push sharply in order to get the desired response. Yes, and the thoughtfulness of the machine does not bother. The engine responds with an angry exhalation to the gas discharge - the bypass valve opens. It seems that under the hood is a living organism. And the exhaust is pleasantly. In general, a beautiful motor turned out.

 

The suspension remained unchanged - she is quite satisfied with the hostess, although the rolls, I must say, are too big. I would make it a little tougher - the power obliges. And the rubber could be put lower than the profile. Perhaps then it would be possible to get rid of the void of the steering wheel in the near -Beam zone. In addition, high-speed rebuilding would be more clearly performed, after all, the average speed of movement on the driven car is higher than at the factory. By the way, in the Arsenal Obukhov there are ohlins shock absorbers that add rigidity to the suspension and at the same time increase the road clearance by 35 mm.

 

The machine was not equipped with a stabilization system, therefore, in general, its controllability is without significant changes compared to the factory version (motor #4, 2002). There are no complaints about the brakes, although at first on a more dynamic tuned version of S60 their effectiveness seems insufficient ...

 

As they say, the owner is a master, the car was made as the customer wanted to see her. An extraordinary appearance instantly selects Volvo S60 AWD R.O. From the city auto start. At the same time, driving a raven car is simple and pleasant. Plus, very serious power (by the way, from the same engine you can remove another 60 hp, increasing the boost pressure to 1.6 bar). This was by no means a female tuning of about $ 20 thousand - over the price of the source car ($ 36.700).
