But not at all contradictory - everything that he does, he does purposefully and consistently. Sets records not for the sake of records, but to show its capabilities. White, as you know, is full and not everyone goes. He took a chance and won. He looked gorgeous, tore off his applause and generally felt like a nail program, which, however, also looked good. Road police officers gave him a green street, overlapping the movement, and made a pen, and some even gave away the honor in all form. Who and where was there so much honor? I don’t know how many full -fledged Eurodeneenes the Volkswagen concern was puffed into the development of this warm country, but judging by the degree of police mobilization, there are many.
It should be noted that since its debut in the fall of 2002, Touareg has managed a lot. For example, about 300,000 copies spread around the world. He was fixed in Dakar as a service mobile. He climbed the Chilean volcano, climbing to a height of 6080 m, which became the highest (and literally) achievement for a serial car. Anyway, he filled himself with a full pocket of bay leaves. However, in the fifth year of sales, any car is borne in the public. It seems to be too early to change the model radically, but to refresh the appearance, expand the motor gamut, add options - it's time. Which was done. The Germans say that they introduced more than 2300 improvements to the model. We will not recalculate, we will take a word. Although, of course, the Cyphir is suspiciously astronomical, and provokes vile assumptions that the concern simply changed the supplier of the screws. Just kidding, joking ... the novelty is most visible on my face. Look at these headlights, at the radiator grill, and at the whole physiognomy as a whole - fresh, stylish, modern. Five points. Definitely.
Refreshed a motor gamut. The most noticeable of innovations is a gasoline eight with direct FSI injection, which issues 350 power horses at 6800 rpm and 440 nm of torque at 3,500 rpm. With it, the SUV takes a hundred for 7.5 s and walks at a maximum speed of 244 km/h, if with air suspension, or 234 km/h - if with a spring. By the way, the new Touareg is the first Volkswagen car, equipped with an 8-cylinder engine with direct injection. This engine can be considered a new topov for Touareg, since the most powerful possible-450-horsepower W12-stands apart, as if outside the gamut (in the second half of 2007 it will begin to be put on the Individual version).
155 tons on the hook. The new Tuareg has many, good and different engines, but I first chose V10 TDI for a test drive. Not only because I respect diesel engines in general. And not only because I have not yet traveled on this unit. And also because it was with this engine that the new Touareg had already managed to speak trumpedly - it was pulled in tow 747. It was at the airfield in Dansphold, 40 miles from London. They took Boeing 747 (attention!) 155 tons, attached it to the new Touareg V10 TDI, which is actually designed to tow drives up to 3,500 kg. To press the car to the ground, its mass was brought to 7030 kg, loading with steel balls and plates. Touareg tucked up, moved from the place of Boeing, dragged it on a hook of 150 m and, which is also archiving, independently slowed down with him. What is amazing: German engineers calculated that the new V10 TDI engine can theoretically move 200 tons ...
Here on this plague diesel engine, developing a tank (or diesel?) Carry of 750 Nm, I swept through Tunisia. What to say about the motor? Sorry for the vulgarism, but this dvigun seemed to me an absolute nonsense. Well, he just on the figure (on the drum, to the light bulb - as you like, the necessary to emphasize) all external stimuli, he looks like a buffalo that pulls himself and pulls. He doesn’t care, high speeds or low, in a hill we go or not in the hill, we are loaded or empty - the stock of traction is enough for all things in all situations at any load. I did not quite understand, why I need a sports mode in the machine with such an engine. I tried both in sports and nonport - the sensations are insignificant. By the way, traction associations with a buffalo do not at all imply bull-sloping slowness-the V10 TDI motor accelerates more than 2.5-ton car to hundreds of 7.4 s. This buffalo is not only strong - it is also fast.
Along the way, I appreciated some technical innovations out of 2300 declared. For example, the ABSPlus system, which on loose soils helps to reduce the brake route by as much as 20%. I didn’t crawl with roulette with loose soils, but I already understood that everything is in order with the brake path. The ACC adaptive cruise control, providing a given speed and distance to the ahead of the car in front (slowing down/accelerating my car), allowed to relax in a long road. The Front Scan radar system once in time warned me about the dangerous rapprochement and strained the brakes (that is, instantly prepared them for emergency braking), for which thanks to her. With high -speed restructuring and turns, I really liked the anti -Crene and lateral vision (though this vision was very disturbed when it was torn through the primer through the bushes - the sensors reacted to them).
And then I moved from the top diesel to a 280-horsepower V6 gasoline. And I immediately realized what had to be done the opposite. Basin V6 itself is very good, but the thing is that the V10 TDI is overlaying everything. My advice to you: testing Touareg before buying, leave this diesel for sweets. Do not break the sequence from weak to strong. As Woody Allen said in one of his films (though not about cars, but about building sexual games): the sequence cannot be violated, otherwise there will be no buzz.
