For a long time, Renault Logan belonged to the market in the market. A plain -like box won the hearts of consumers with a spacious salon, the smallest suspension and quite high reliability. And now another VW Polo Sedan player entered the market of inexpensive domestic foreign cars. How can he surprise the buyer, except for the price?

No matter how hard the designers tried to ennoble the second phase of Renault Logan, it looks like a VW Polo Sedan as a felt boot next to the sneakers. It does not have the elegance that is present in the appearance of the German. Yes, Logan is higher, it is wider, but is it so important when you look at the car from the side. Where it is more important, how the car looks and how you yourself will look against the background of this car. Honestly, presenting the Polo Sedan as a pensioner is much more difficult to drive him behind the wheel of Logan. And why, in fact, sit in quotation marks? With landing and landing, perhaps, let's start.

Being a car with a higher roof and doorways entering it, Logan does not create any inconvenience when landing. But in order to get into the Polo salon, you will have to tilt the head quite strongly in order to dive under the roof. Clap the doors. Oddly enough, but Polo is less noble than Logan. And this despite the fact that from the phase 2 Renault refused to install anti -noise inserts on this model on the pins of the door lock. But in the new Logan, the slope of the steering wheel is now regulated. However, this adjustment is rather a marketing move than a really useful option. The angle of inclination changes slightly. But the Polo for this indicator is simply on top. The steering wheel can not only be tilted, but also moved to yourself.

We continue to get a job. The seat adjustable in height is not in Logan in all trim levels. Nevertheless, it is. That's just the trouble is that the adjustments for this parameter are only three low, medium and high. Polo already in the basic configuration of the seats are equipped with a microlyphone. Moreover, this elevator can be stopped on any floor. That in Polo, that in Logan the driver's seat is devoid of adjusting the lumbar region, but its shape is more anatomical in Polo, and its frame is much tougher here. Having shook Logan's front seats behind the back of the front seats, you involuntarily remember our eights.

Since the conversation about the backs of the seats came, it is worth noting the fact that for the sake of increasing the luggage compartment the back of the second row at Polo is folding. But Logan deprived this happiness of its owners. Of course, it can also be removed, but then you still have to dismantle the cross-member, which prevents the displacement of cargo into the car interior in the event of an accident. In general, there is a lot of troubles. But sitting in the second row is still more pleasant and more convenient in Logan. Roof racks are almost vertical, and therefore there is more air in Renault. Polo is also quite spacious, but three in the back row is frankly crowded, and if there is a distant road to be in this composition, it is better to prefer Logan.

But back to the driver's place. From the point of view of attitude, the instrument panel and the central console in Polo look richer. However, if you knock on this very panel, you will hear exactly the same sound that makes the Logan panel. Plastic both in the first and second car is hard. So everything is the same here. What you can’t say when you begin to deal with ergonomics. Why Logan still does not know how to wave wipers when the windshield washer is turned on is incomprehensible. There is no such option even in the most expensive configuration. As there is no adjustable pause. In Polo, these are already basic moments. And Polo knows how to make three outbreaks with a rotation indicator in a non -fixed position of the steering wheel switch. A very useful function in rebuilding. However, not everything is so smooth in Polo. For example, the driver’s right leg is forced to constantly contact with the angle of the central console. And if you recall that it is made of hard plastic, like everything here, then it gives little pleasure. According to this indicator, Logan with its reverse tilt of the central console is simply the top of the convenience for the driver. The pedal node is also more correct in Logan. In Polo, this is just a disaster. All pedals are very shifted to the right, which does not add comfort when driving. You get used to it quickly, but crossing from one car to another, you pay attention to this right away.

Immediately pay attention to the fact that with the engine of the engine in the gearbox of the Polo gears, there are no vibration at all. In Logan, the pen, of course, does not go stuck, but if you put your hand on it, then vibrations are felt clearly. The explanation for this is simple. Volkswagen provided his Polo cable drive, while Logan is hard. The latter is better in terms of reliability, but it is more comfortable to switch the programs to Polo.

Both the first and second cars were aggregated by the two -sneaker engines identical in volume. The insignificant difference was only in power. Logan with a volume of 1.6 liters has a power of 102 liters. p., and Polo 105. But this in no way affected their dynamic characteristics. According to the data declared by the manufacturers, both the first and second exchanged the first hundred after 10.5 seconds. However, Logan does it much quieter. The motor at peak loads is much less grumbling than Polo. But in Volkswagen, there is practically no noise from the runaway air flow: the form more correct, from the point of view of aerodynamics, is affected. Yes, and wheels with an exclusively high -high pattern much quieter than universal by Logan. But thanks to these very wheels, Logan almost without any problems moved along country roads, while Polo now and then tore them in worship.

In general, if we talk about bad roads, whether it is asphalt or rural gravel, Logan on any of these coatings feels absolutely calmly. Not like a breakdown, you don’t even have to talk about shaking. He flies over all this outrage and does not buzz. But Polo with directions is not very formed. No, the country is also not contraindicated for him, otherwise it was worth it to bring his clearance to 170 mm. But quickly traveling on such a coating will not work out. And shakes, compared to Logan, noticeably. A couple of times, even to the breakdown, the suspension reached. But on asphalt Polo is irresistible. I especially liked the steering. The connection of the driver with the car is exceptional. And the exchange rate stability is an order of magnitude higher. Logan is also not bad, but the French car school still loses to the German. But who won, as a result, you decide.

 
Renault Logan
The Renault Logan of the second phase received an updated appearance, as well as a more powerful engine. Plus, since the fall of 2010, a potential buyer can choose a car with a five -speed manual gearbox and a four -speed automatic. Non -essential, but the interior of the car has also changed.

The engine power is sufficient, controllability is also at the level, but not the standard for sure.

Choosing one of these two cars we would not recommend hiding exclusively on their appearance. Ultimately, this price segment is primarily more practical models than image. So, it is worth paying more attention to concepts such as capacity, economy, clearance at last. Do not throw off the liquidity of the model in the secondary market. But if you still talk about appearance, then the VW Polo Sedan is definitely in a greater priority than Renault Logan.
