The first CE-TEC has started well in Russia. Russian sales of Passat CC were almost twice the initial forecasts of marketerists. Four years passed and the Germans released a new model. Technically, the car almost did not change, and the main changes were on the surface.

First, the name. From now on, in Europe it is simply called Volkswagen CC. He cuts hearing, isn't it? That is why in Russia it was decided to preserve the favorite name Passat CC.

Further design. Where did the smooth contours of the front headlights go, a smiling bumper and a radiator grille with large crossbars? It seems that the team working on the restyling of the Ts-Tse decided that the front of the previous model is too informal and fundamentally does not correspond to a strict business suit, in which all VW models are put on now.

No no. The updated Passat CC is quite good, it is just a little different. A new false radiator grille with an abundance of chromium and optics with LED horseshoes look expensive and solid. The car is still good in profile, and the feed, perhaps, has become even better. It was painfully cool the artists entered here, it seemed ordinary in the shape of a ruby \u200b\u200bof lanterns, glowing with three scarlet boomerangs of dimensions.


The rear lights are the most successful restyling element

Visible changes in the cabin at least. First of all, a new climate control block is striking, a dashboard with a white subordination and a fashionable arrow clock on the central console. The quality of the finishing materials became better. It was difficult to find a flaw in the Passat CC interior, and now here is velvet skin, soft plastic and real aluminum in an expensive office.

There are many new options and systems, however, as usual, a good half of them is not offered for the Russian market. Among them is a system for tracking and identifying the driver's fatigue. Among the available goods, dynamic control of high beam (7,070 rubles) and an automatic parking worker (37,270 rubles), which is able to perform not only parallel, but also perpendicular parking.


The salon has almost not changed. This is still the standard of ergonomics and quality in the classroom. 12-position sports seats in front of electrical regulations, with a massage function in a driver’s place, will cost 34,790 rubles.

No technical revelations. Three gasoline engines are still available to us two turbo-features 1.8 (152 hp) and 2.0 (210 hp), as well as an atmospheric 300-horsepower V6 3.6 liter with a full-wheel drive system. There is a 140-horsepower 2.0-liter turbodiesel. There are three gearboxes: 6-speed mechanics and 7-speed DSG for 1.8 TSI, DSG robot with six steps for everyone else.


A triple rear sofa is an option for 10 560. But there is no much sense in it. Due to the huge central tunnel and a low roof line, three are still crowded here.

We got the most popular version of Volkswagen Passat CC 1.8 TSI with a DSG box. Such a fly Tse-Tse (as the owners called this car), of course, not a hurricane, but copes with ordinary tasks regularly. Due to the good traction in almost the entire speed range, it accelerates well at speeds up to 100 km/h and dashingly responds to press the accelerator pedal from 1,500 rpm. At high speeds, the ardor of the motor begins to subside and, if necessary, a sharp overtaking now and then has to use the DSG sports regime. Fortunately, the robot works perfectly with the change of steps quickly and imperceptibly for passengers.


The 6-speed DSG robot works fine. The most visible differences in the cabin are the new climate control unit and the changed dashboard backlight.

Passat CC in German is clearly followed by a steering wheel, the information content that the steering wheel endows the electric power steering is also enough, but the degree of effort would like a little more. On the straight line, the most stylish of Volkswagen goes at a clearly defined rate, but as soon as the wave bends of the ordinary spring suspension manifest the mission provokes on the asphalt. The softness of the settings of the chassis is felt both on the bedridden and in corners, although, despite the roll, the Passat CC arc is stably with a slight bit of insufficient rotation.


Volkswagen steer well, but the chassis is rather configured in a comfortable way. The car sways on the waves and rolls in corners.

Only the DCC (Dynamic Chassis Control) with three operating modes can make a more acute core-fucker with three operating modes, but such cars are not supplied to the Russian market. But improved sound insulation is on all machines. Together with the update in the doorway, front panel, rear shelf and trunk walls, additional noise -absorbing gaskets were installed, and a special soundproof film on the windshield. So now the Passat CC has become even quieter, although the prerestyling machine has not sinned with a lack of sound insulation.


The 152-horsepower 1.8 TSI turbo engine accelerates Passat CC to 100 km/h in 8.6 seconds. This engine is quite economical and pulls well in the entire speed range, but the 2.0-liter 210-horsepower unit is ideal for a stylish four-door.

Russian prices for a version of 1.8 liters with mechanics begin at a mark of 1,136,000 rubles. The surcharge for DSG is 95 thousand rubles. 210-horsepower Passat CC 2.0 TSI The most optimal dynamics option costs from 1,482,000 rubles. The expediency of the diesel version in Russia is in question. The main reason is the price, which is only 12 thousand rubles less than a 2.0-liter gasoline machine. Finally, a top option with all -wheel drive and three hundred horses under the hood is estimated at least 2,027,000 rubles.


The updated Volkswagen Passat SS changed his face, but retained his character. It is still stylish, high-quality and comfortable. And most importantly, the CE-T-E-now is different from all Volkswagen models taken together. Therefore, to be different to him!
