Volkswagen Passat B7 test drive since 2010 sedan

Volkswagen Passat 2011

The new (and rather updated) Passat was represented in 2010. For the Russian market, the model was presented on May 14, 2011.
The car holds the title of one of the most popular sedans, because over 15 million copies were sold in its entire story. The prevalence of the machine is explained not only by the competent PRs of the company. Passat has always been a simple and reliable German sedan, which has neither a screaming appearance, nor the same screaming price tag. In the last, seventh generation, however, there are things that make many think before buying a car. And, more precisely, it makes the absence of serious changes to think: everything that Volkswagen did assembled the remnants of their other cars, made Passat B7 and advertised it as a fundamentally new model. But the fact remains: the car platform remained old, and the gearbox and the engine were taken from existing models. To vein laziness of their engineers, designers have developed a new appearance of the machine, as a result of which Volkswagen Passat 2011 began to be more like Phaeton. With all the external resemblance to its more luxury and dear older brother, the price of the car remained Passatovskaya. What should you count on when buying a new generation B7?

The interior became much more luxurious: new seats were installed, the fabric of the upholstery became more wear -resistant and high -quality, the noise level decreased, the dashboard was finalized, the door pads, backlight and analog hours were updated. Some changes occurred in the electronic filling of the car: the massage function has appeared in the chairs, the driver’s fatigue recognition system has been added, giving advice when it is better to stop and rest. Also in the seventh generation Volkswagen Passat 2011 there is a technology for automatic braking at low speeds.

Technically, the new generation has been updated more. All new passats, with the exception of the basic model with a 1.4-liter engine, are equipped with a generator, including only when the battery needs to be recharged, and the Start-Stop system is installed on all diesel models. The Blue Motion modification is different from the usual aerodynamic improvements, increased gear rates for transmission. As a result of such savings, the diesel Blue Motion consumes only 4.2 liters of fuel per 100 km. In addition to two engines on diesel fuel, Volkswagen offer an amazing variety of power units: 1.4-liter TSI (122 hp), 1.8-liter TSI (60 hp), 2-liter TSI (210 liters. p.) and 3.6-liter V6 (300 hp), gas engine 1.4 Ecofuel with a capacity of 150 hp And finally, a 1.4-liter bioethanol engine with a capacity of 160 hp.

Passat prices 2011 begin at 860,000 rubles. About 1,300,000 rubles will have to be laid out for the top version.
