The main of them is the operation of the bimetallic fuse of the wipers. Due to the unsuccessful shape of the leashes, the motor experienced an increased load, and the protection was triggered. The factory took into account the deficiency and made changes to the design. And although it was not hot overboard, during the run, the wipers never refused.
Patriot 2008 has changed not only technically. A car painted in cherry metallic took part in the test. This Koler received a limited party. The cherry Patriot looks very unusual: impressive dimensions and sharp corners are smoothed out, and the car became prettier.
Changes in trifles: finally brought to mind the cup holder. Although it is flimsy, it works properly. Changed the press forms of some details. On the mirrors, doors and other external elements, the lord is now not found. The cilia-seals of the glass were removed, now the glass windows mechanism walks better.
The front seats had heated. True, velor upholstery is not very pleasant to the touch. However, soon she is also promised to replace it with more pleasant material. The next generation of Patriot will appear original music. Now the dealer is engaged in the installation of the radio.
What else will note the wipped eye of the UAZ? The hubs have disappeared! From now on, on the patriots of the cardan to the front wheels does not turn off, and the all -wheel drive can be turned on without leaving the cab. Recall that earlier it had to be done after a complete stop, turning the flags on the front hubs. Often this happened after the rear wheels have already begun to slip or the car of the village. Dubious pleasure to turn on hubs manually forced the owners to ride with constantly on the front axle. The disadvantage of such a scheme is one increased fuel consumption. But, in the case of a long ride with a disconnected front, another drawback was also manifested, threatening with large financial costs than a modest increase in fuel consumption. On our, far from ideal roads, not rotating cardan sags and may require repair. This usually happens by the end of the warranty period. According to representatives of the plant, after removing the hubs, the increased costs of fuel, still lower than the price of the cardan shaft. Due to the fact that there are no hubs on wheels now, the discs were made more elegant, without bulging hubs.
As before, all -wheel drive is turned on by the handout. There are three modes to choose from: the rear monotor, full, full plus reducing gear. Why did the connected drive not make electronic? Firstly, for reasons of reliability. Patriot is not a city crossover, but a real SUV operating in low temperatures, high humidity and increased vibration loads. Secondly, the scheme used is cheaper and easier. In 4x4 mode, moving along the highway is undesirable, controllability in turns worsens. For the forgetting on the instrument panel, an all -wheel drive indicator appeared.
Recall that Patriot has been equipped with air conditioning since last year. We evaluated its effectiveness last summer in Altai. Since then, the ventilation of the salon has undergone small modernization. Given the three adult men in the cabin, the low temperature overboard and high humidity, the windows do not fog. Wide external mirrors have electric heating, which allows in complex weather to confidently control what is happening around. We put it well for visibility. Why is it good, not excellent? The score is reduced for the lack of headlight washers. At night, they are covered with mud in slush, they have to clean them manually. Another shortcom in the rear washer of the glass. On the contrary, he is too trying: after several waves of the brush, he continues to irrigate the surface.
Comfortable loops for fastening goods and folding benches appeared in the trunk. Despite the fact that nine people can be planted in Patriot, they cannot be called full seats. There is not enough seat belts.
If the purpose of the past expedition to the Aktra glacier was to test the patriot in high -mountain conditions, fords and off -road, then the Volga expedition passed along the highway and public roads. Places in which Patriot is not quite at ease.
Make the passenger control of the frame SUV on unreasonable bridges, with a dependent suspension of all the wheels, the task from the field of fantasy. Almost all manufacturers of civilian vehicles have long abandoned such a scheme. Only Nissan Patrol or Land Rover Defender come to mind. But their chassis is not designed for speed and steep turns. Factory testers brought the patriot to the optimal level. Only good imported rubber will help improve behavior on the road. Then you will have to interfere in the design: for example, replace the shkvorni with ball supports, which will lead to a decrease in the resource and reliability, and the front bridge to the circuit with an independent suspension and shus-am. But this will be a completely different story.
Most consumers of Patrick (as his owners themselves are called) either operate it on bad roads, or use it as a second car. During the run, we noted the improved handling on the highway. Most likely, this is the merit of the expensive winter rubber.
The weather should be mentioned separately. On the eve of our visit in the Ulyanovsk region, a huge amount of snow fell. And, although the roads were cleared to the asphalt, the roadsides were in places a one and a half meter parapet.
How does Patrick behave in winter, what about cross -country ability? Despite the lack of cables and shovels, the journalistic crews kept moving out of the road in search of a successful angle and fell into traps. Cars buried in deep snow and sat on bridges. However, everything was without the help of tractors. As they say, without knowing the ford, do not go into the water. The locks that are equipped with UAZs to order are powerless in loose snow. In this case, only toothy off-road rubber and Hi-Jack jack can help. For a relatively small fee, the car can be prepared: increase the lumen, put the winch. However, common sense remains the main assistant in difficult conditions. With a certain degree of experience, you can also drown the tank in the swamp.
In addition to unplanned pitopa in virgin lands, special stages in the forest were waiting for us, high-speed on the banks of the Volga, where UAZ Patriot showed all his advantages to the fullest.
In general, the patriot is already like his child. It grows up, not ceasing to delight with new abilities. Finally, representatives of the plant promised a diesel option. How to evolve the patriot in the future, we learn in the new expedition, which will be held in early summer. Where? So far, the secret.
