Is it expensive to contain a prestigious business class? We decided to check it on one of the most affordable cars of this class. We are talking about Skoda Superb, which passed the tests as a corporate vehicle.
 

Many would like to have a car with a higher class, getting out of mass segments B and C. But often the reason for doubt becomes, if not the price of the car itself, then its maintenance. Is it really so expensive?
 

First, it is worth deciding that not all representatives of the business class cost sky-high money. Let's say Skoda Superb is one of the most striking representatives of the available D-class models.
 

Prices start with 985,000 rubles. The aggregate part is a turbocharged motor with a volume of 1.8 liters. A little more expensive will cost the option with a diesel engine 1.9 TDI 1 020 000 rub. The most expensive, but the most powerful is Superb with a 2.8 V6 1 235 000 engine.
 

All modifications are equipped with a 5 -speed automatic. Automatic transmission quickly adapts to driving manner. If you want to ride with a breeze, you can go to manual switching mode. In this case, the box dutifully holds momentum in the selected gear.
 

The basic configurations of all versions are the same. The list of existing equipment is very wide: parking, alloy wheels, headlight washer to the bixenon light, rain sensor, radio tape recorder with CD and MP3, and many more pleasant little things that will take more than one page of the price list. In our case, the most inexpensive of the Superb family with a 1.8 T motor and a 5-speed automatic transmission in the Comfort configuration without additional options was chosen.
 

According to the fuel consumption, Skoda Superb is not ready to amaze and upset. In a mixed cycle, a turbocharged motor consumes about 16 liters of combustible per 100 km. A 62 liter tank is enough for two to three days.
 

Planned TO, like an ordinary city car, once every 15 thousand. The TO-1 did not bring any unpleasant surprises. The wear of the components corresponds to the average norm.
 

The fact that Skoda Superb’s service will cost no more, or maybe cheaper than classes in or C. For the first maintenance, 67 euros were pleased. Where you have to overpay for class affiliation, it is on car wash. There they understand the classes very well.

There is no solidity to the car. In length, it is neither much nor less than 4803 mm, in a width of 1765 mm, in a height of 1469 mm. This does not cause any problems in parking due to good visibility.


In the cabin, each of the passengers will have enough space with excess. Even tall front riders, maximally pushing seats, will not be able to interfere with the rear. Speaking with the language of numbers, then the engineers in front provided for 1132 mm of living space, and 1006 mm behind. The total length of the cabin was 2049 mm. If desired, you can comfortably spend the night on the long journey.
 

The large internal space did not affect the volume of the trunk. Its sizes are also impressive 462 liters. And this is with the decomposed rear seats. The opening and access to the trunk were very convenient. The loading height, that is, the distance from the floor to the lower edge of the opening, is only 671 mm. You especially note such a small height when loading heavy road suitcases, as well as when placing long -meters in the cabin.
 

As a typical representative of the Superb business class is equipped with a light wheel, which, however, is not devoid of information content. It allows you to accurately control the given trajectory. The suspension of the Czech-German car was soft and comfortable.
 

It does not break it on bumps and pits. In this case, swing as such is not observed. It is extinguished thanks to a balanced suspension setting. Wheels of a larger radius will increase controllability. You can order them as an additional option or by choosing a more expensive set.
 

Skoda Superb is very pleasant to control in a dense city stream. With his calm, non -aggressive appearance, he does not annoy others. But due to solid sizes, respects. In a city crowd, a car feels like a fish in water. And he fully justifies the money that the manufacturer asks for him.
 

For centuries

A turbocharged engine with a volume of 1.8 liters is tested by time. A reliable and economical motor is installed on almost the entire line of both Skoda and Volkswagen. It has good speed characteristics and is unpretentious in operation. But, perhaps, soon he will have to give way to more modern FSI engines.


Driving
Superb is a calm comfortable car that is pleasant to drive both in a dense city stream and on highways. He responds quickly to the steering wheel turns.

Salon
The salon is like an ordinary car, nothing outstanding. But he is very unpretentious to operation and cleaning. The luggage compartment is also pleasing in size.

Comfort
In the cabin, everyone is prepared for a maximum of space. At the same time, a comfortable suspension will deliver maximum pleasure on any trip. A black color is the class.

Safety
Not only a modern body, but also an abundance of airbags are on guard of passengers.

Price
The money spent on Superb will not be a pity, and he does not ask for so much. It remains only to choose from the proposed sets.

At the same time, the cost of operation is not affected. Superb is an excellent option for those who want to have a business class for reasonable money.
