Skoda Superb - car with a driver

After a break that lasted several decades, the new Skoda Superb again returned to Skodaauto to the Sector Sector, continuing the glorious history and rich traditions of the Skoda brand. The first car was represented back in 1934, and until 1949 it was constantly modernized. The last model Skoda Superb appeared recently in 2001-2002.
 
Skoda Superb analogue of Volkswagen Passat, but with an extended one on 100 mm wheelbase. The car should be considered as personal, since the space of the rear of the cabin increased. In terms of the quality of finishing materials and the level of equipment (see table), Superb deserves the right to be called Passat L (L, from the German Lange long, indicates that the place of the owner of the car is located behind).
 

Price
The starting price of the Classic machine with a 150-horsepower 1.8-turbo engine from 22,850 euros. This model is suitable for those who are fundamental only the size of the salon. If financial capabilities allow, we advise you to choose Comfort: the model costs 2150 euros more, but it has a spectacular interior decoration and includes more amenities for passengers. Even taking into account the leather salon, the price does not exceed 29,000 euros.
 
Unfortunately, an automatic gearbox, which is very relevant for the representative machine, is not installed in a car with a 1.8-turbo engine.
The automatic box is built into the Superb in which the 193-horsepower 2.8-liter V6 engine. The Comfort car costs from 30 950 euros, Elegance is 3800 euros more.
 
For Superb, three diesel engines are offered: the base 101-horsepower (weak power); The advantages of the 150-horsepower V6 reflects the price exceeding the price of gasoline per 1000 euros. But a 130-horsepower diesel can be called the Golden Sid (it costs only 800 euros more than 1.8 turbo).
 

Design
Thanks to the elongated base, the profile of the machine has become harmonious. The design of the grilles of the radiator and lighting equipment is excreted, strict. The appearance of a modern car successfully emphasizes the image of a passenger as a business person.
 
During the opening of the massive rear door, three clear fixation steps are felt. The lanterns hidden under the front seats illuminate the floor of the cabin in front of the rear sofa. A wide doorway. The door closes softly: along the outer perimeter it is surrounded by a seal. A spacious salon is easy to equip under an office.
 
Superb captivates with the quality, thoughtfulness of each part. To heat all the seats, there is not only the power button, but also the regulator for five degrees of intensity. Enterly inserts under a tree look. The tray for newspapers under the lid of the central armrest is velvet.
 
The car is equipped with the following active security tools:
ABS with an electronic distribution of brake force;
differential electronic lock;
dynamic stabilization system (V6 engine).
Xenon headlights, an emergency stop, fixed on the back of the trunk cover, and pillows (two front and two side) helps to avoid an accident.
 
The driver’s place in Superb is located in the same way as in Passat. The same laconic lines of the torpedo, finishing materials, the range of steering wheel adjustments and the hard German chair. The shape of the central console and the branded climate control unit have changed a bit.
The developers did everything so that the driver would not get tired. From custom -made equipment, you can additionally put the rear parking sensors (Superb dimensions are poorly felt when parking).



Children in the car
Before planting a child on the rear sofa, using a children's lock, you can neutralize the inner handles of the door locks and turn off the door buttons of the windows. For young children, a special children's armchair is provided (sold separately) installed in ISO-FIX mounts.
 

Trunk
From the trunk of a representative car of superworposure or miracles of transformation, no transformation is required. A portfolio with documents and a bag with sports equipment should fit into it. Superb inherited from Volkswagen Passat quite capacious (460 l) and a convenient Superb trigger.
In the trunk there are hooks on which you can hang bags. In the through hatch of the armrest and Elegance, a ski cover is provided.
The manufacturers took care of the safety of baggage. If the lid is closed, it will not be opened either outside or from the central lock. And turning the key in the driver's door blocked the internal button for opening the trunk. A car with a service key that is only suitable for the ignition lock can be safely given to the sink or to the technical center. You can’t get into the trunk even from the cabin: the back of the rear sofa, as befits a representative car, does not fold.
