I saw the new Laguna at the Renault technocenter in Paris in October last year. I can note that outwardly I liked the car very much. Compared to the previous generation, the car looks significantly more solid and can fully count on a worthy place in its segment. The manufacturer paid serious attention to pre -production tests. Protective samples (about 1000 pieces) underwent an exam for strength and durability in the most difficult operating conditions in Russia, Argentina, Australia, and Malaysia.
 

The manufacturer's plans are very ambitious. Let's say in 2009 it is planned to implement 800,000 copies.
 

In Russia, sales of new items will begin in April-May 2008, it is supposed to sell about 300 cars per month. Meanwhile, over the eight months of the year in Russia, only 727 cars found their owners, that is, about 90 pieces were sold per month. So the new Laguna will have to increase the volume of sales! And if you take into account the volumes of sales of its main competitors in Russia (VW Passat 6733, Pegeout 407 1690 pieces, Toyota Avensis 14 117 pieces, Ford Mondeo 4791, Mazda6 9668 pieces), then to achieve the set goals, you must take about 10% of this segment of the market . A very difficult task, given the achievement of competitors.
