During sports tuning, more rigid characteristics of shock absorbers are included for emphasized dynamic control. The one who travels quickly should be able to stop just as quickly. On all wheels, perforated and ventilated brake discs are installed, which can divert energy in the form of heat, including during prolonged loads. Each of the eight pads to the disk is pressed by two pistons installed in anodized black motionless calipers.
Cayman also attracts the fact that it can be given personality by equipping it by the mood of almost all existing options. One of them is the Sport Chrono package, which, when pressing the button, provides emphasizing the sports setting of various functions of the car and thereby increases the dynamism: the throttle reacts faster reacts to the movements of the accelerator pedals, the driver feels the increased receipt of the 2.7-liter power unit, the sensitivity of the reactions of which It remains to the maximum speed. At the same time, the PSM (Porsche Stability Management) marginal system included in the basic configuration shifts the regulation threshold in the direction of the limit modes and allows increased slipping and side sliding.
 
The Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) system allows the driver to choose one of two modes (Normal or Sport) by pressing the corresponding switch located on the central panel, which improves the operation of the car.
The base price of the new Porsche in Europe is 40,900 euros. Given the VAT and the requirements of national legislation in Germany Cayman costs 47,647 euros. In the United States, the car, excluding taxes, can be purchased for $ 49,400.
 
The sports compartment was created on the basis of Boxster, designed in the form of an open sports car with a hard body. Cayman roof additionally strengthens the body. The result was a very high rigidity for bending and twisting.
