The previous Theana was strikingly different from the design canons of business class machines. They are chosen by a conservative audience, which, in addition to serious requirements for comfort and running qualities, also presents high aesthetic ones. I would venture to assume that the cool reception of the first thean was caused, first of all, by its specific appearance. There were no complaints about the technique.

Previously, three engines were offered for thean. Now they will not supply the fresh 2-liter four to Russia: under the hood, only V-shaped sixes, the smaller of which added about about a glass in volume. Both engines received extended adjustment of the phase of gas distribution and technological innovations, thanks to which they were able to increase not only power, but also the durability of the units. The smaller engine is now also equipped with a variator instead of an outdated four -band machine. This gives a significant plus in dynamics and economy, especially since the modernization of the variator has made its work 30% faster.
Acquaintance begins with a 2.5-liter thean in it more differences. Is Nissan such a motor enough? It is quite, both for a suburban highway, and for quick overtaking. By current standards, 182 hp Not too much, but 9.6 C to 100 km/h not too fast. But the car is perceived very nimble. Maybe because Nissan has always been distinguished by the honesty of characteristics in advertising avenues? Throughout the history of measurements, a rare car of this brand showed the result worse than the declared.
The X-Tronic CVT variator works in mode, which has already become traditional. With smooth acceleration, it imitates gear shift, creating the usual acoustic accompaniment. When a full return is required from the car, it uses a unfavorable advantage, allowing the motor to reach maximum turns and smoothly changing the gear ratio as speed rises. No hydromechanical transmission can do that.
Machines for a test drive, of course, are equipped to the maximum. A colored 7-inch display can serve as a map of the navigator and a rear view camera screen for setting climate control or an audio system and even for the flight comprehensive compartment, which pleased an extremely beautiful interface. True, equally unconventional.
The previous version of Thana was distinguished by very good comfort on small irregularities, but the car voiced noticeable chips of asphalt unexpectedly loudly. In the new car, not only the kinematics of the rear suspension are changed (the shock absorber is pulled to the wheel axis). A simple, but very noticeable innovation of the spring of the end of the end in the front and rear shock absorbers. The secret of smoothness often lies in the slight resistance of the end. But such pendants, coping well with small irregularities, often do not tolerate serious potholes and wave waves, are not able to hold the wheel shot by the spring. In the modernized theater, suspensions work surprisingly silently even on outstanding irregularities. However, comfortable settings do not mean sickening-wretched driving. Nissan is quite capable of sharp turns, and a more pronounced progressive characteristic of a hydraulic pump with an electric pump allows you to better feel the machine.
It is with active driving that the difference between a 2.5- and 3.5-liter machine is most noticeable. If the speakers of the first thean is unconditionally enough for any maneuvers, then the second engine gives a large sedan serious sports ambitions. The steering wheel on such a car is harder and seems more accurate, and the short straight lines between the turns of the 3.5-liter car simply swallows. What did they say about fuel consumption? Leave the difference in less than a liter for standard modes. With a large Motor, the Thean provokes too much to go economically.
The audio system helps to bring yourself to a less warlike state. Now she knows how to read mp3, and a DVD player located in a glove box knows not only the video, but also DVD-Audio discs. However, I don’t have to believe such with me. You can watch the video, for security reasons, only in a fixed car, the televisionot is not provided. The test of the navigation system also failed: there are no maps of the Kaliningrad region yet.
INSIDE AND OUTSIDE
Nissan-Theana has become more. Outside, very little: 5 mm in length and 30 in width. Even the road clearance grew by 5 mm: they were cut due to a more thorough layout of the units under the bottom. Japanese engineers took into account all the damage received by the cars of the previous generation on our roads, and finalized the design to increase the survivability. Moreover, with new seats and soundproofing materials, additional millimeters were also detected in the cabin: 13 mm heights on the front seats, 9 mm on the rear, 17 mm for the knees of the rear passengers. A little, but you can’t squeeze more from this body. An additional height of the cabin is especially necessary for the most expensive modifications with a glass roof. From the inside of the car you perceive it with two large hatches, which significantly reduce the height of the cabin. This is obvious to the tall driver or front passenger right away. In Thean, with a simple roof, there is more space for the head, but here the rear passenger tall above 185 cm is better to crawl along the seat pillow, otherwise the head will fall into the ceiling. However, planting in the back in the sedan is always a compromise: there is a place above the head or a comfortable high pillow. In the first version, excellent numbers delight, but the second is more convenient on a long trip, the legs do not flow.
The Salon of Thean is interesting and the new design of the seats. Thanks to the three -layer filler of the pillows, they are very soft and at the same time keep their shape. Heating and ventilation through perforated skin, granted, like the ottomank with support for the legs for the front passenger. For additional comfort, massive soft armrests on the doors, they form a common structure with a chair and resemble an armrest of a sofa. On the rear seats, wide head restraints are regulated not only in height, but also in lateral support.

Choosing a nissan-Theana is simple. The basic car costs exactly the same as the main opponent of Toyota-Kamri, painted with metallic and equipped with an automatic gearbox. The modernized thean looks, rides, and it just feels noticeably better than the predecessor. But still remains a very peculiar car. This is unlikely to be chosen by accident: the buyer of the Theana knows what he wants, and is not going to pay too much. The choice of customers, despite the originality of the car, remains more prudent than emotional. Even the power of a 3.5-liter engine in the Russian version is declared so as not to pay maximum tax. This is not by chance
