The illusion of infinity

If you replace the Nissan emblem with Infiniti on the radiator grille (or at the stern), is ready to argue: the deception recognizes only the second coming of Teana. I wonder if the Nissanists guess that with its appearance they will take away customers not only from competitors, but also from their own luxury unit?!
 
Russia is the first of the 85 countries where the new Nissan Teana appeared. And the first city to see him was Kaliningrad, where Nisan Motor Rus decided to hold a Russian premiere. The car is sold since June 1 of this year.
The second generation of a business sedan uses a brand new platform D, which is used on American Nissan Altima, Maxima; It also has a new Murano crossover, which will soon reach us. The engineers who worked on the TEANA base faced the task of achieving, first of all, the ultimate comfort and smoothness. Of course, along the way without losing the hardness of the body and as a result in handling.
Unlike the previous one, the platform D includes six spaces (instead of four), a new rear multi -leaf and a modernized front suspension with two degrees forward racks. This could increase the diameter of the turn, but Nissan engineers lengthened the steering rack, thereby increasing the angle of rotation of the wheel.
The length of Teana increased by 5 mm, in height remained the same, and added as much as 30 mm in width, which came in handy, first of all, to increase the space in the cabin. And having carefully studied the bottoms of the previous generation cars, the Japanese decided to increase the road clearance (by half a centimeter). Russian conditions remained the same means that Teana had to change. Smooth lines, rounded bends of wings and hoods, outstanding voluminous LED lights and elegant headlights: Nissan pulled up the image of a business sedan, closely bringing it to Infiniti models.
The radiator grille and new generation TEANA grillations sparkle with silver, and there are almost no external differences between the Infiniti M and Nissan Teana. Only nameplate on the back will not allow the business and luxury execution of the Nissan E-Class. Teana is painted in the same colors as the past generation, plus two new shades: Deep Amethyst Gray (Gray) and Framboise Red (red). By the way, in the same way you can control other functions of the onboard system. I did not like the lack of adjustment of the steering wheel and unappressed central air ducts inside Teana. It may seem strange to someone that the heating and ventilation buttons (!) Of the front seats are hidden inside the boxing box. Maybe: depends on how often you use them
Teana is equipped with two types of engines (2.5 and 3.5 l) and one transmission (variator). The drive, as before, is front. I got a top option: a 3.5-liter 249-horsepower sedan with a variator, a leather salon, hatch and other pleasant options that are not familiar to middle-class car owners.
We must pay tribute to the organizers of the test drive: the route was laid in such a way that it was simply not possible to screw the car into a steep speed turn. And the desire to do this was killed after the first incredible comfortable kilometers. If it were not for the power plant (engine and checkpoint), then two hundred kilometers that had to be driven from the Klyubrovo airport to the final point of the Curonian braid would have seemed unbearably (and even unbearably) comfortable. But it was the variator a year ago that he spoiled the first impression of the two -liter Lancer and did not particularly please, for example, on Dodge Caliber. But when the unavailable box is integrated with a powerful, two and a half hundred, the engine, the effect is completely opposite.
The first impetus of Teana reacts to the beginning of gas supply, a self-learning variator has taught us to a dynamic rhythm: a smooth set, and a maximum of torque is already available to 1,600 rpm, a rapidly pulling sedan forward. You get the most great pleasure when the arrow of the tachometer is inflated above 5,000 rpm; At the same time, the powerful impulse that seized us does not end, but lasts and lasts up to a speed extremely close to maximum
The Japanese really managed to configure the chassis so that both the driver and passengers feel like the level of noise, vibrations and vibrations of the body so low on the water surface on the water surface. At the same time, the rolls and buildups in corners are at an excellent (for urban calm ride) level: there are practically no them.
And the brakes are good. The only thing seems that at the beginning of emergency braking, electronics are too loosened by pressure in the system, fearing the possibility of staging the wheel. According to subjective sensations, at the beginning of the slowdown, you can slow down more efficiently.
The steering is more configured for comfort than information, so the driver’s hands do not know so much about what is happening under the wheels, but the zero degree is felt well. At urban speeds, the force on the steering wheel is practically absent, and then closer to auto -track limits is noticeably increasing. In general, in order not to be able to find a common language with Teana, you need to try very hard
