One of the most popular Nissan Qashqai crossovers in Russia two years after Feylift was renewed again.


This time, however, the changes are almost not visible outside, but this is no less noticeable: now the model with a 1.6 liter engine is equipped with a new generation Xtronic CVT variator and a circular view View Monitor (AVM) circular review system.

At this place, you probably already decided that Next will go a banal comparison with a pitch with a cat. But no. I promise, not a word about Koshakov. Although it is pushing it, because now the character of the crossover has become even more like a consonant animal, which usually impressively walks around its territory, but when necessary, it can tear the claws. So the variator: it was created for a calm, measured, non -fussy ride, but retains the dynamic potential sufficient for overtaking on the highway or rebuilding in the city. But, like a lazy one-time, who spends 80% of his life in a dream, does not like to work for a long time at the limit of opportunities.


The screen is very small, but the curbs and other cars are visible

Some believe that the variator is more reliable than the automatic transmission. You should not only fulfill a police reversal with him or at speed with the words now a rocket! Switch to R (although you won’t wish any car). The car with the variator is more smooth. In advantages, this type of transmission also records greater fuel economy compared to the automatic transmission, and its modern modifications according to this parameter are approaching mechanics. Nissan claimed for Qashqai 1.6 of 2010 with a mechanical KP consumption of 7.5 l per 100 km when driving around the city, and for an updated model with a variator of 8.1 liters in the same mode. However, the real consumption of mechanics around the city was at the level of 8.7 liters, on the variator it turned out as much as 9.5 liters, and on the machine more than 10 liters.


In the cabin, everything is still

But if the type of transmission can still cause disputes, who likes what more, then the circular review system is unlikely to seem superfluous to anyone. Four tiny cameras are installed in the Nissan nameplate on the radiator grill, from below on the rear -view mirrors and above the rear number. Together they give out a picture on a small screen in the cabin from all four sides at the same time as if view of a car from above or from each side separately. At the same time, the computer draws dynamic guides on the screen by which it is easy to determine the position of the wheels and trajectory of movement. It is terribly convenient when parking or slow maneuvering! The system automatically turns on when switching to the rear gear, and at speeds up to 10 km/h can also work when driving forward.


Such a small camera, but sees everything

That's just all these lazy options relax. I quickly got used to looking at the screen, and not in the mirror, but it turned out that it was not always possible to distinguish a snowdrift from a dirty border on such a small monitor. You have to be more attentive, do not rely only on cameras and, of course, regularly wipe them, otherwise at some point you will feel like those who are looking for a black cat in a dark room.
