Our current hero Nissan Qashqai is also largely revolutionary, mixing shape and content into an unusual cocktail. The basic version is offered with a 1.6 -liter engine, a front -wheel drive and a clearance of more than 200 mm. There is such a Qashqai only $ 21,900, offering a worthy alternative to the advanced golf-class hatchbacks. Another pole of all -wheel drive Qashqai in the maximum configuration for 34,350 dollars is already a competitor to Toyota Rav4 and other SUVs. At the same time, Nissan is a little more compact, which makes life easier in parking. We got a practically top version, deprived of only the rear view cameras (traditional parking sensors are installed instead), the color screen and the ability to lose MP3-disks. The price of the tested car is 32 050 dollars.
Qashqai profile is a reduced copy of Nissan Murano, which is nice. Murano's cartoon appearance is very impressed by many, but they are scared by large dimensions of the car, and the price of a large SUV is not at all cartoon. And here is a compact muranchik golf class. Also, the QASHQAI front line should make more playful and good -natured, otherwise the flat line of the bumper and the radiator grill, complemented by a bulging black lower lip, create a light grimace that does not decorate the car. The height of the machine is designed to hide black plastic linings around the entire perimeter of the body. Qashqai only seems small: in fact, in terms of height it is only ten cm inferior to the legislator of the Toyota RAV4 SUV class. The pads also protect the wheel arches, which is important in case of easy contact, for example, in urban traffic jam or in the parking lot. Actually, at the level where the bumper is located in passenger cars, Qashqai is closed with plastic on all sides, so that small annoying scratches can be not afraid.
The only thing that the sporty lean silhouette of Paskaya was poorly affected is the sight of. If, with maneuvers, large lateral mirrors are saved, reminiscent that Qashqai is not a simple passenger car, then, when handing over the backwards, you have to rely only on the help of parkingate through the rear window, almost nothing is visible.
The interior also radiates easy aggression. The instrument panel is pretty overloaded. The climate control and the audio system are also overloaded with the abundance of buttons. Their main functions are simple and understandable, but they require too much attention. For those who are faithful to the old folk principle, keep your legs warm, and the head in the cold, in Qashqai, there is a special duct for hair. But the interior is made very high quality. From soft plastic, not only the top of the front panel is made, but also the central console and the upholstery of the doors, and the armrests are even sheathed with the skin. Roting blowing deflectors resemble Alfa Romeo and Mazda. The glove box in European spacious in it can be placed at once by 3 two -liter bottles with drinks, and if desired and cool. By the size of the rear seats, Qashqai is comparable to traditional golf-class hatchbacks. Judging by the shape of the stern, from the trunk one could expect a minimum of a minimum of liters of 500, and it turned out to be only 350 liters. The reason is the large height of the floor, under which a full-size 17-inch reserve with a high-profile tire is hidden. It is just right to take the wheel mount on the back door, like real jeeps, in order to at least slightly increase the luggage volume and reduce the loading height. Considering that the machine is intended mainly for the city, in Qashqai, the use of docking would be a more logical solution.
In the pursuit of sports, the developers made the steering too heavy, which is not very convenient in the city. Although you get used to it quickly, this does not give any advantages. A system with variable amplifier performance has long been invented, which controls the resistance of the steering wheel, depending on the speed of the machine. Moreover, Qashqai is equipped with an electric power steering that is controlled by electronics.
The suspension is tuned in a Europeanly tough, it is very jealous of the lying policeman and regularly informs the driver about all the vicissitudes of the road. In response to this, the high Qashqai is practically deprived of rolls, although this does not give a sense of sports car, but rather, on the contrary, it creates a dissonance between the perception of the car and its real possibilities. On a broken road, the car is still susceptible to buildup, and sometimes it even leads to breakdowns of suspension, which you do not expect in any way with a calm ride.
The variator also behaves too sporty. When moving in any mode when dumping the gas, the variator seems to switch half award down and the engine speeds rise to 500-700 rpm, which leads to intensive braking by the engine, and this is not always necessary. If Qashqai have a softer suspension, he would probably peck his nose, and so passengers have to do this. Such a scheme would fit well for the sports program of the variator, but for standard drive it behaves too aggressively. You roll to the traffic light, evaluating the run of the machine, and the variator so actively slows down the engine that the machine stops earlier than the intended one, and you have to accelerate again.
It turns out that Qashqai constantly provokes an aggressive ride, which is unlikely to appeal to most drivers, a significant part of which girls. However, we succumbed to temptation and grabbed on Qashqai, which was the strength. On the suburban highway, the all -tribe confidently showed the figure of 185 km/h on the speedometer, although the maximum speed in the characteristics is 178 km/h, so the devices clearly overstate the readings. At the same time, the motor works at maximum speeds and I don’t want to go like that for a long time. The optimal speed mode for Nissan is up to 150 km/h. Further acceleration occurs only at increased speeds, when the interior is filled with straining the engine: the set of speed occurs due to the change in the gear ratio in the variator.
We did not ignore the qashqai off -road abilities. But in this nomination, the all -around -stayed was not very strong the problem in the variator. In the sand, as well as probably on any other viscous ground, whether it is loose snow or dirt, it hardly conveys the power from the engine to the wheels seems that the transmission is about to fail. Qashqai is especially difficult to touch from a raising place: whether there would be a traditional machine or mechanical checkpoint, there would be no problem. When the name Qashqai was first presented, many English experts began to rack their heads: how is it pronounced correctly? The versions were expressed by the most incredible from kvash-kai to kuash-kai. The right option was Kashkai, which is translated from one of the African adverbs means a city nomad. For us, Qashqai is most consonant with someone from the cat breed. Moreover, judging by the appearance, before us is really a prankish cat who is not averse to fucking, driving on the curtains or shouting louder than all meow, sitting on the fence, and then from all legs, or rather, paws, rush the thick of the fights with dogs. In a word, Zabiyaka.
Despite a number of miscalculations, we can say with the confidence that Nissan was exactly the target. And Qashqai is waiting for a great market future. Conceptually, it repeats the Ford Fusion, but only stands a step higher in the classification and covers a larger price range and, consequently, a potential audience. He gives the buyer himself to decide what he wants to get: a slightly raised front -wheel drive car for the city or a compact crossover with all -wheel drive, whose possibilities are probably enough for assaults of light off -road. Qashqai is good in both roles, and most importantly, it has almost no competitors. His only rival Dodge Caliber, but it is offered only with front -wheel drive and is equipped with more powerful engines, which increases its price. Yes, and many buyers are perceived with cautious Dodge brand.
As for me, I would rather choose a front-wheel drive Qashqai with a 2.0-liter engine and a mechanical 6-speed checkpoint in this design is a very dynamic car for the city and travel. To overcome the off -road obstacles of a quite solid road clearance of Qashqai, and without all -wheel drive, the car is faster and more economical. And its price is lower from 24,400 to 28,150 dollars.
