Test drive Nissan Qashqai 2007 - 2010 SUV

A teenager

July, hot Moscow, +25 degrees in the shade. That we are not at all scary, because we roll in the brand new elongated pocket along the shady alleys of the Luzhniki. Calm music pours out of the columns, and a pleasant coolness from air conditioning air ducts.
We took this car not by chance. I really wanted to make sure that the seven -seater car of such a compact class is not a science fiction with my own hand (and on my own. And if so, does this clearly marketing experiment have the right to life?
Plus, sitting in front, will not be able to please something original. Everything is exactly the same as the standard version. Convenient landing, good visibility. The chairs are moderately tough, and not yet leather, which is especially pleasant in hot summer weather. Ergonomics also thought out any problems. There are also joys of life, for example, separate climate control, parking sensors with a video camera (almost like Infiniti and Nissan senior models, but in a somewhat truncated version). The variator has a pseudo-brown mode with pseudo steps. And the navigator is sometimes cunning (as if it were created by people with striped sticks) and forces us to do what is prohibited by the active signs.
The stretched base (+135 mm) led to an increase in the doorway from the back, the roof (+38 mm) also raised slightly, and, therefore, it became noticeably more spacious in the second row. Needless to say, as a five -seater car Kashkai+2 thing consisted. Although it is better to use it as a four-seater, because the width here remains the same.
If you go out and look in the crossover in the eye, you will notice a new false radiator grille. It is more solid, and it looks more stylish. As for the view from the back, there is, of course, there is mutations. The new Kashkai with a more accented luggage compartment (+75 mm to the rear overhang) looks rougher and more courageous. Not as uniquely as the original version. Cute 18-disks solve all the problems of lengthening from the side seems almost invisible, while the perception of the machine is changing.
Large rear doors simplify the process of landing on the second row. However, they increased them not only for the sake of this happiest inhabitants of Kashkai+2 (read to residents of the third row) will also have to make their way through these openings (although, as it seemed a little later to me, it will be no less convenient through the trunk).
For the purity of the experiment in the process of loading and unloading from the third row, I participate with my 188 cm and a girl 167 cm tall (while the manufacturer does not recommend sitting there people above 165, but I think two centimeters will not play a decisive role here, And much depends on the complexion).
For me, all this idea turned into a curious athletic attraction. At first I simply could not get into, and when I still sat down, I had to move the second row to the stop (adjustment +/ Some small bump would turn around for me with a dense blow to the crown on the ceiling.
It was even more fun to get out. I would like to do it elegantly at first, sticking my leg forward, but she still will not find the support to stretch far! You have to put forward the fifth point and back off. Eh, it was not for nothing that the Japanese warned only 165 cm! And curiosity is always punishable.
The representative of the weaker sex was more fortunate. With male help, she successfully sat on the third row. Then I installed the back of the second row in the working position of the back of the seats and pushed it back until it stops. Well, formally, Kashkai+2 confirmed his purpose. Seven people can really sit in him. But!
There is one but. Planting on the third row still remains specific and not very convenient mainly due to the fact that you are sitting almost on the floor with lifted knees. You can try to carry children. But they, I think, will get bored there quickly.
The machine not only solidly added in the wheelbase, but on average it became about 100 kg heavier, depending on the engine and the configuration. The latter, in turn, required the reconfiguration of the suspension and its strengthening. Of course, all this could not but leave the driving qualities of a mock.
Plus a second is not only perceived as a more solid car, it is such. Not only externally, but also on the go. On our test there was a car in a top configuration without a leather salon, which was estimated at 1,090,000 rubles. This is an all -wheel drive car with a two -liter engine and a variator.
Having added in weight, the crossover lost a little in dynamics. However, the changes are not critical. Even the elongated version remains quite awake: it gains almost 180 km/h and accelerates to hundreds in less than 12 seconds. You don’t get along, but you can go.
The steering is a well -known electrical power with fairly good settings and intelligible feedback. Unlike a short -drawn version, ours is more stable in a straight line, and smoothes road irregularities better. Perhaps this is all that can be said about the driving qualities of a big gang in the light of the search for differences from the standard version.
The desired +2, as our test showed, can only be used in case of emergency. So was the developers to fence the garden for this? Yes, after all, side growths have spilled out in a number of advantages of version +2. This is an increase in the trunk, the opening of the fifth door and space on the second row (with the possibility of adjustment and a more convenient input/output). And against the background of the total cost of the car, overpayment for additional amenities of about 50,000 rubles does not look so catastrophic.
