Nissan NP300 test drive since 2007 pickup

The cheapest Japanese pickup Nissan NP 300

The cheapest Japanese pickup Nissan NP 300 entered the Russian market. I really like the advertising of the new Nissan pickup: all the bags for the landfill. And no more cross -country racing. This is a fresh trend in Russian automobile marketing.
Previously, pickups were served as a cheap equivalent of SUVs. Now press that these are trucks. Will the zoom-zoom, superselect or spring suspension in the rear bridge really disappear?
Nissan NP 300 represents a hard utility bill to load, unload, pour, dump. In the cabin of the emergency team of the Moscow Watercanal or severe aunts from Mosovoschens. No trophies with barbecue. Tours ended in the Karelian Gnus. Old man, will I drive up to you today? No, then we will drink beer. I need to pick up two cubes of slate.

I'm afraid this is the only possible angle in which Nissan’s pickup looks with dignity. It is quite tolerable for commercial transport, but terrible as a civilian car.
Mazda is right there
By design, as in price, it is close to Mazda BT-50. The front suspension is independent torsion. The rear bridge on the springs. Reduced gear in a handout. 2.5 liter diesel engine. Right friction differential in the rear bridge.
The price of the novelty starts from 607 thousand rubles. You can’t find a cheaper Japanese truck in our market. Will the public like it? Take the basic characteristics. For example, carrying capacity. It is 100 kg less here than Mazda. Let's look at the size of the body. The competitor has an advantage again. Someone will add a few words about the morally obsolete crews of air conditioning control, but I'm sure this is a nit-picking. But the convenience of turning off the front wheel hubs (hubs) in Zoom-Zoom is more convenient, you just need to click on the button, and in the NP 300 you need to go in reverse a meter and a half.
Businessmen, whose kiosks are located in the hilly taiga or in impenetrable swamps, will pay attention to not the best indicators of the geometric cross -country ability of the new pickupa. The angles of the entrance/congress at the Nissan NP 300 are 31 degrees, and in the Mazda BT-50 34/33 degrees, respectively. Divers will ask about the depths of the overcame armor, here it is only 450 mm, against 750 mm at Zoom-Zoom a competitor.
Of course, for a commercial truck, this is insignificant. But we are used to the fact that the Mazda BT-50 buy basically fuckers trying to shove an ATV into its body, breaking the folding sides and bursting wheel arches with 33-inch rollers. It is difficult to get used to that the new pickup from Nissan does not claim this role. Maybe then the all -wheel drive in it is superfluous?

Hard but soft
Yes, the advertisement is not lying, he is waiting for bags of garbage and coils with a cable, but there will be a living person at the wheel, and I just have to say something about his impressions. We left Moscow towards the Drakino airfield, near which Nissan representatives built an impromptu off -road highway. The path was a little more than a hundred kilometers, but there was enough for impressions.
Fifteen years ago, one taxi driver, whose name was Lenya, went to the Rzhev baths, which was near Gilyarovsky Street. He loved to bring three gangs of boiling water into the stove, and then invited everyone to crawl into the steam room, because it was impossible to go into growth. And he said: look how I did hard, but softly! That's also the situation with the smoothness of the course of our pickupa.
The suspension of a test truck meets the irregularities of the road so slaughter that it is not clear why it swings so sweetly in the longitudinal direction. Everything can be explained by the comfortable settings of shock absorbers and rude springs, but this, of course, would be too simple. It can be assumed that the developers were supporters of some professing dualism of philosophical theory. Or it was Lenya emigrated to Japan and works in Nissan, longing for paired.
How long will an ordinary family last in such a device (without the experience of the ralies of the KSP)? Children may be delighted with shocks from the road to the body and sea swings, but the adult will not withstand after 150,200 km. I myself had to ride a little on the back the seat on the same highway in Dokino, which was an unpretentious crossed area. Having received several times on the head, I spent the rest of the journey reclining. On bumps, it was shaking like in a concrete mixer. The space on the passenger sofa is small, but after all, the family here will not go here! I forgot again!

Enough, but
On the highway is a little easier. Although the depth of the rolls and a belated reaction to the turn of the steering wheel are such that I would not go around the moose, it is better to just close my eyes. The truck reacts to sharp maneuvers like a boat. Give the feedback! Change the settings! Excuse me, I was forgotten again, this is commercial transport.
On the test, we drove with two cement bags and three logs in the back. I all thought: how would he behave with full load? According to the experience of our experiments, the passport carrying capacity of some pickups is greatly exaggerated. Sometimes twice. I have no doubt that the declared weight in one ton of Nissan NP 300 will take. Maybe more, the diesel traction is enough. But the characteristics of the chassis are such that it will be safe to ride with such a load, even within the speed limits of traffic rules. However, we will see: ahead is a test with a ton on board.
