Test drive Nissan Maxima 2004 sedan

Is the year wealth?

We note the results of the five -year plan with shock restyling! Give new wheels and a radiator grille! The steering wheel multifunctionality, an audio system of the CD changer for six discs, passenger a cup holder!

All the settings of the seats for a good memory of two drivers! Hurray, comrades! We will bring to life the program of Maxima of the new model year!

The update, which has condescended to the flagship of the European (and, therefore Russian) Passenger production range of Nissan, is so superficial that the word modernization here will simply be inappropriate. All the changes that are officially published can be counted on the fingers and the extra will remain! Another thing is that there is no extra fingers as there is no money. And rejuvenation threw five hundred bucks to the price of Maxima

In my opinion, it turned out too modestly: the car is almost no different from its very model of the two thousandth year. As it were to say this, maybe the notorious five -hundredth is worth it, but at the same time they are not pulling on it. For it is not impressive. Agree: after all, five years have passed since one could not skimp on new items. A cup holder for a passenger! Nice, of course, but too little things! On the other hand, the Japanese can be understood: on the way there is a fundamentally new Maxima in the USA the sales of a new flagship are already in full swing. What for the sake of investing in an old woman?

Maxim was always pretty to me. Being strict and conservative, the car does not look boring, but solid and noble. However, the classic is one thing, and a completely different old age. The car looks cheerful now, but inside Maxima is already autumn: an uncomplicated interior, the lack of a reserve above your head is simply impossible not to pay attention.

The movement is not able to rehabilitate the machine. Yes, it is still not bad, but there is no longer enough strength to hide your true age: it is immediately noticeable that the new Maxima QX is just a model of five years ago. And this is definitely not the case when the excerpt is beneficial: a mass car is rather sturgeon than wine. Even being perfectly seduced, any very good car spoils over time, alas.

So Maxim no longer gets perfection: in the transmission there is already a deficiency of speed and transmission of a four-speed automatic in our time gradually turns into an anachronism. The box can be cheered up by the sports regime and it helps. In general, we must pay tribute, the overclocking dynamics of the three -liter Maxima is very good, and there is no need to regret the absence of a sequential switching mode. Everything is honest: either sport or not. But whatever the regime is chosen, the car is perceived as heavy, full -hearted: here the process of acceleration is not a single impulse, but serious work. And the machine gun here is not an assistant to the motor: sometimes his rash actions prevent the right motor from doing their job. At least, Nissan is trying to convey such a thought to the user.

The rotation throws the car with still unnecessary kilograms: Maxima is extremely non-oxingly going to the curve, with all its behavior unequivocally expressing the idea of \u200b\u200ba straightforward progressive movement as the ideal form of the existence of a car. Clearly designated insufficient rotation, the main characteristic of the controllability of the machine. In general, I do not want to drive only between traffic lights; Yes, and only in order to get a well -deserved pleasure from the voice of the engine: Maxim's motor is very beautiful!

And the big Nissan does not like large pits. Well, not quite holes, of course, they still need to look for them in the city. But the significant bumps that the St. Petersburg roads abound in will certainly find you themselves and Maxima will tell you in detail about each of them, without stinting on hard expressions.

And yet I like this car primarily with my modest, but rather expressive style. But Maksima has another undocumented function: if you take a dark blue car, tinted the glass tightly and give a reddening room, you can completely go down for a representative of the St. Petersburg municipality. The main thing is not to abuse: according to the new KOAP, a fine for an unauthorized installation of special signals is 25 minimum wages. That's it.
