This is really similar to the truth, otherwise it is difficult to explain such a sharp transition from a stroller for pensioners named 323/Protege to a dynamic and gambling car of a golf class. Moreover, with this name 3: acute, clean, and most importantly, relevant, because conciseity is now in fashion, especially among young people who actively visit night clubs. Perhaps it was they who became the main buyers of the car. And she, apparently, fell in love with them, not only because of a sharp, as a shot, names: among all modern cars of the golf class, Mazda 3 is almost the most sports and fit, capable of giving great pleasure from driving. Now the implementation of the Mazda 3 of the new generation, in which many flaws of the previous generation model have been corrected, are already in full swing. Nevertheless, the version of the old model is still considered a very successful and reasonable purchase. Or are they mistaken?
 
From the point of view of the image of doubts about the correct choice: the appearance of Mazda 3 of the first generation is still quite fresh and relevant. Even now, many years after the start of the release of the model, it seems very modern and dynamic outside. And this is despite the fact that there is nothing calling in the car: everything is clear and concise, like its name. And it doesn’t matter if we are talking about the hatchback either about the sedan: both cars are good. The treshka does not disappoint in terms of reliability: there are practically no complaints about the electrics (except that the climate control unit combined with the radio control prevents the installation of a non-native head device), and the body is kept well done even after many years in Russia. There were only problems with early copies: paint was swelled in places, but later the issue was still resolved. It is worth noting a decent level of passive security of the model: even with a serious accident, the chances of getting rid of a slight fright are great. At the same time, an insignificant frontal accident can lead to very serious recovery costs. It happens, at first glance, a small accident with a meager displacement of headlights and a radiator grille costs the owner in the amount of about 100 thousand rubles. (It's all about a flip and a very expensive plastic TV, which is almost impossible to repair). In general, you have to be more accurate.

The interior is at the same time puzzling and pleasing, although it still causes positive emotions: a pronounced sports style, comfortable seats, excellent ergonomics, excellent equipment (at least in some copies, since there are very poorly equipped cars). Every minute of communication with this car gives joy! But there are shortcomings, and one of the most serious is unimportant sound insulation. The quality of finishing materials also leaves much to be desired, although the salon looks expensive, so in principle you can close your eyes.
 
Those who bought Mazda 3, having heard from friends about her sports character, obviously did not lose: acute controllability, verified suspension, tenacious brakes, painful motors for riding on the nesting doll! By the way, in the early years of the fast version, Mazda 3 did not. But no one really sought to subject their vegetable Mazda 3 intensive power refinement. And this is strange, because there was a good chassis, and there was no motor, with the help of which it would be possible to realize the entire potential of the platform. As it turned out, consumers were elementary when the sports version of Mazda 3 MPS (in America Mazdaspeed 3), equipped with a 2.3-liter turbo engine, appeared on sale. Of course, this is not a full -fledged supercar, but among the hot hatchbacks he was considered one of the best at one time.
 
There are not so many power units for Mazda 3: it opens a line of a 1.6-liter engine with a capacity of 105 hp. (For a long time, the only automatic machine, 2-liter cars with automatic transmission, appeared on sale shortly before the termination of the production of Mazda 3 of the first generation), the next step is a popular 2-liter engine developing 150 hp. Between him and the top unit with a volume of 2.3 liters a whole abyss (the difference of 110 horses can not be called otherwise). There are other motors, such as a 1.4-liter lazy person, as well as a 2.3-liter atmospheric, installed on the American version. But they were never delivered to us, and they would hardly be very in demand, because we do not use 1.4 -litful Ford with us. Focus. Alas, none of these engines is different in supernight. True, the point here is most likely not in constructive miscalculations, breakdowns of atmospheric troops, a direct consequence of the destructive policy of official service centers that prescribe oil change every 20 thousand km. Specialized (but unofficial) workshops recommend changing oil in the engine at least after 9 thousand km (in addition, they advise you to check its level from time to time). Otherwise, you can get expensive engine repair with the replacement of CPH and the entire unit. You don’t have to be surprised: cars with a sports character do not tolerate an inattentive attitude towards themselves.
 
But unlike the engines of the gearbox, they are quite reliable. As noted above, they come in two types, though the machine guns were mainly put on the weakest Mazda 3, while absolutely all MPS, not to mention most of 2-liter tremors, are equipped with mechanical gearboxes. Specialists with breakdowns of gearboxes practically do not encounter.
 
To the joy of the owners, the suspension is also very strong, since there are no crushing loads on it, because Mazda 3 is a golf-class car. In the family Mazda 6, there are troubles with a suspension, including the hub bearings, while the treshka demonstrates the excellent resource of the parts of the chassis, steering and brakes. The latter, by the way, delivered a lot of trouble to owners of the old 323, but in Mazda 3, the Japanese managed to get rid of most problems associated with them.
 
Experts note that the treshka is not structurally different from the 323rd model, and this is an amazing fact: many know that the predecessor of the modern version was very fresh, which is why he did not use particular popularity. And as soon as when creating Mazda 3, the Japanese managed to create a much more tasty dish from existing ingredients? How did it happen that the compact Mazda has so transformed? Of course, a lot of work has been invested in it, and the result is evident: a cheerful, perky machine, next to which it is as pleasant as with a witty and confident person.
