Despite the fact that I am used to driving on mechanics, this time I think to still prefer the machine solely because of the convenience of traffic jams. Well, I would like to meet the 650,000th budget. In extreme cases, the bar can be slightly lifted. But only slightly ...

At first glance in a small Mazda, a sports, dynamic character is felt. This hatchback resembles a fit and slender gymnast not a gram of excess weight, a chiseled figure ... Maybe only in front of a two -shaped, for my taste, too aggressive. But in general, the Japanese hatchback leaves a good impression. Aquamarine metallic is also very to face. However, the machine looks no worse in a white or red dress. In a word, according to the design, Mazda fully meets my requirements.

On the cabin too. Interior design is extremely concise and understandable. It is very easy to figure out the climate circle, I liked it and the leather three -spoke steering wheel, it lies very conveniently in his hands. And in the driver's place, I almost immediately set up a chair for myself. Everything is adjusted easily and simple. The quality of the finish? I heard from my friends that the kopecks have hard plastic panel. I don’t know ... For me this is not a fundamental moment. But a good visibility is a big plus. When parking, you do not need to twist your head, looking for all sorts of obstacles. The sofa again, by my standards, is more than. Having adjusted the seats for herself, she sat behind with a large margin. I think here will fit a husband, whose growth, by the way, is 1 m 90 cm! The trunk, on the other hand, is small, yes ... But I, in general, do not need more.

In addition, you just have to get behind the wheel and leave the parking lot, as about such nonsense as the volume of the trunk, you immediately forget. Mazda 2 rides just wonderful! Of course, I am aware that this is not a sports compartment and not a multi -liter sedan, but how the kopeckis dutifully and without pauses responds to the gas pedal is worth a lot. The car seems to foresee your actions and is always ready to accelerate. Thanks to such a responsive machine gun, you get real riding pleasure. I can trust him, knowing that at the right time he will do everything as needed. It is a pity that not all small cars with machine guns are equally predictable and obedient. Mazda is good in corners: it does not roll, does not whistle with rubber, but goes exactly where she was told. Class! I expected that the car seemed very noisy to read the reviews in the press, but personally, the noise did not alert me completely, like a harsh suspension. In my opinion, everything is very worthy.

Immediately you do not pay attention to this, and only when you see a kopeck piece and the 207th together, you understand how much the Frenchman is more and I would even say more solid. In terms of design, Peugeot seems more refined and fashionable, the car literally envelops the desire to like. These huge almond -shaped headlights, a good -natured mouth of the radiator lattice, side moldings with a chrome strip. Big esthete! But even more than the 207th amazes in the cabin. If Mazda inside is functional and convenient, but slightly rustic, then Peugeot, on the contrary, conquers the breadth of the scope. Suppose the chrome regulatory wells seem to me with a far -fetched element for a small hatchback, but a panoramic transparent roof is just a class! In the cabin, it immediately becomes lighter and more joyful. However, in essence the Frenchman is a little more convenient for Japanese. Yes, here the steering wheel is regulated in two directions, but in terms of spaciousness, the opponents are equal. What is PEUGEOT of an undoubted advantage is in the size of the trunk. But for me it does not matter.

But what is the 207th capable of in business? After all, the power of the engine of the pepper is larger than that of Mazda 120 liters. With. Against 103 l. With. Oddly enough, the victory was not on the side of the Frenchman. The box here works much slower than on Mazda. Loads, slow reactions are immediately felt. I pressed the gas, and the car seems to think whether it is really necessary to go faster or not ... and only then begins to add. Because of this, we did not have complete understanding with the 207th. Having looked at the passport data, I found that Peugeot accelerates to hundreds by half a second faster than Mazda. Although, according to subjective impressions, it seems that the opposite.

It is a pity, because the Frenchman seemed softer on the go, and he also has better noise insulation. But the price of the 207th is higher. Even the basic version with an automatic machine costs 657 thousand already higher than our budget. And if you add a beautiful panoramic roof and pay for the side pillows of safety and inflatable curtains (by the way, Mazda has already in the database!), The price will be almost 700 thousand! This is already a clear overkill.


My choice
You can’t say anything, the 207th left a very pleasant impression: a spectacular, well -equipped, comfortable machine. But for me, all the numerous advantages are one minus of a slow machine, concealing the pleasure of temperamental driving. And the high price does not paint Peugeot. Perhaps I would choose the 120 -horsepower 207th with mechanics, but such a model as I found out, they no longer sell in Russia. So the choice in favor of Mazda 2, in general, is clear. The Japanese hatchback not only looks good, but also goes wonderful. And the price is suitable.

With all due respect to the Japanese firm, it should be noted that Mazda 2 with its unconditionally inherent breadth of sled talents, slightly lacks comfort and practicality. But Peugeot 207 has a complete order with this. The magnificent, by the standards of class B, the performance of the salon, a very high -quality sound insulation, a very comfortable suspension and a noticeably more capacious trunk simplify and improve the life of the driver (and driver) of the French hatchback. As for a high price, as an alternative to a 120-horsepower automatic Peugeot, you can look at the 207th with a 1.4 liter engine, equipped with a 2-Tronic robotic gearbox. Let such a box require a certain addiction from the habit of transmission switch with noticeable jerks, but it allows you to save solidly. And in terms of the dynamics, a 1.4-liter engine with a capacity of 88 liters. With. Not many more expensive versions of the 207th.
